Ebata Risa was born 1978 in Japan. She is an animator, illustrator and character designer. She went previously by the pseudonym Ehime Mikan (愛 姫 みかん) but changed her credit to her real name in 2007.
After graduating from high school she joined Sogna, a bishoujo/eroge company under Nakamura Ken'ichirou - that was well known for its animated games, in 1996. Ebata gave her debut as inbetween animator on Viper BTR and subsequently was promoted to animator and character designer for the following games. Although she didn't receive credit for her work at first.
Following the bancrupcy of Sogna, she transferred to Oobari Masami's newly established studio G-1 Neo, where she worked as character designer on Gravion Zwei as well as several 18+ productions.
Starting 2007 she changed to using her real name and has since then participated on non-ero productions.
