Unrelated, I wish SOMEONE would rescue and finish Aiyoku no Eustia

The artwork looks really nice for Aiyoku no Eustia, bonus that it's modern enough to be widescreen too!
Have you backed any of the VNs that 'Sekai Project' keeps pushing on steam greenlight and/or kickstarter?
I gave https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/sekaiproject/fault-milestone-one-directors-cut?ref=users a go just because I liked the artwork...
With Fate (2014) just started airing I decided to look back at the FHA translation at beasts lair and it seems after the massive fight in July (of someone saying it was 100% translated) that they have released a new 'patch.xp3' last week.
Has anyone given it a go? I've held off (attempting) to read FHA for so long as everyone has moaned about the translation being mostly google translate... but I'm tired of waiting, for this and Mahoutsukai no Yoru.
^ They've said that it's good enough to read and enjoy it, but there are still some inconsistencies in terminology and character tones that needs to be fixed, along with some typos, proper punctuations, and some other stuff, hence why it's still listed as being in beta.
I'm personally still waiting for a final release (and if it's proven to be possible, a voice patch as well after the Vita version is released.)
As a matter of fact the so-called Hollowgate (lol) is 100% unrelated. That project was already happening. Oh, and the Google Translate bits have been all killed off.

oh boy, sakura no uta isn't even out and i feel like there isn't really any competition for it when it comes to vn of the year.
I just noticed that Higurashi is making its way to Steam: http://store.steampowered.com/app/310360/
Having never read the VN nor watched the anime (it's sat on my HDD for years) I'm tempted to give this 'updated' VN a read. Or should I just go and watch it now? What would you guys do?
Take note that that is only the first arc of Higurashi, Onikakushi-hen. It was the first 4 episodes of the anime, and the first 2 volumes of the manga. The other arcs will be released at a later date. Having said that, both the manga and the anime were great, so I'd recommend both of them. But considering that it's only two weeks left until it's released on Steam, I'd say wait. I'm fairly certain that the VN is even better, specifically based on what I've heard.
And at least you won't know the story or any of the plot twists, which I do (this will be my first time reading the VN, as I'm definitely going to buy it.) It's the mystery aspect of Higurashi that's so great, and the length and style of a book is definitely the best way to experience a mystery.

Well that's that settled, I'll give the 'new' chapter 1 of the VN a whirl (hopefully it'll go on sale).
i'm patiently waiting for *eden to go on sale again after completing the demo... but gabe keeps letting me down...
while it's certain that the prose won't carry over well (just like 99% of anime adaptations), I'm really looking forward to seeing the characters animated.

There just isn't enough information at this stage so I kind of pretend the project doesn't exist. If it's not a 2-cour tv series, which is unlikely, it probably won't do the original material justice. So at this moment, it should be safer to see it as a fanservice to the people who have played the game.
After all, this is an English community on anime, even though it's a rather well-known untranslated VN, I guess most people still don't know much about Dies irae, so you probably shouldn't raise people's expectation or attention too much. And if the anime ends up fucking up, people here are going to blame the original work as well, and there won't be fans defending how great the original work is or saying there's no DI anime because this simply isn't Type-Moon.
TL;DR: There's really no point on hyping it here since Dies irae is an untranslated VN. People would be hyping more on the Subahibi translation instead.
Not that hyped, but i still need to read Masada's work. Well those small parts i know from Dies Irae are definitely very well written and his prose really stands out. I'm still kinda hoping that they release a definitive edition of both DI and KKK with all the content from both 18+ and All-Ages Versions (mostly because i don't want to buy the games twice). Well there's still Paradies Lost to read before that anyway.
Actually reading SubaHibi at the moment, mostly because i wanted to read SubaHibi before Sakura no Uta. Since Scaji seems to be basing that again on the Tractatus philosophicus-logicus and i think it will most likely be even better than SubaHibi. The TL just gives me another reason to finish it quickly before the english web is full of spoilers. Well from what i read so far great title, probably not something for everyone though.
Tomoyo After and Little Busters will join Clannad on Steam. However, unlike Clannad which has a brand new translation, Tomoyo After and Little Busters will be based on the current fantranslations.

^ Parts will be retranslated and rewritten. They are only used as a basis, and are not going to be a 1:1 replicas. KEY themselves will look over the process.
