On your 13th birthday a soulmate tattoo appears on your body. The words are the 1st words your soulmate speaks to you directly. From birth your soulmate is linked to you. You can feel what your soulmate feels. If your soulmate breaks his arm, you'll have a searing pain in your arm. If your soulmate gets a cut, you'll feel pain where that cut is.
Charlie has been getting absolutely battered each day when Nick is playing rugby but he thinks his soulmate is being beaten or hurt.
Nick on the other hand has felt all of Charlies self harm and has spent hours worrying, leading to a developing anxiety disorder.
