The notion of pre-Poisson algebras was introduced by Aguiar in his study of zinbiel algebras and pre-Lie algebras. In this paper, we first introduce NS-Poisson algebras as a generalization of both Poisson algebras and pre-Poisson algebras. An NS-Poisson algebra has an associated sub-adjacent Poisson algebra. We show that a Nijenhuis operator and a twisted Rota-Baxter operator on a Poisson algebra deforms the structure into an NS-Poisson algebra. The semi-classical limit of an NS-algebra deformation and a suitable filtration of an NS-algebra produce NS-Poisson algebras. On the other hand, F-manifold algebras were introduced by Dotsenko as the underlying algebraic structure of F-manifolds. We also introduce NS-F-manifold algebras as a simultaneous generalization of NS-Poisson algebras, F-manifold algebras and pre-F-manifold algebras. In the end, we show that Nijenhuis deformations of F-manifold algebras and the semi-classical limits of NS-pre-Lie algebra deformations have NS-F-manifold algebra structures.

The notion of a matched pair of Lie algebras was introduced in the study of Lie bialgebras and Poisson-Lie groups. In this paper, we introduce representations and cohomology of a matched pair of Lie algebras. We show that there is a morphism from the cohomology of a Lie bialgebra to the cohomology of the corresponding matched pair of Lie algebras. Our cohomology is also useful to study infinitesimal deformations and abelian extensions. In the last part, we define the notion of a matched pair of $L_\infty$-algebras and construct the corresponding bicrossed product. Finally, we show that a matched pair of skeletal $L_\infty$-algebras is closely related to the cohomology introduced in the paper.

The nuclear level density is a fundamental quantity in nuclear physics, governing various nuclear reactions and astrophysical processes. In this study, we report on the collective enhancement of nuclear level density and its fade-out with excitation energy in the deformed $^{161}$Dy, obtained through an exclusive measurement of neutron evaporation spectra. The $^{162}$Dy nucleus was populated via the transfer of a triton in a $^{7}$Li-induced reaction on $^{159}$Tb. Statistical model analysis of the neutron spectra revealed a large collective enhancement factor of 42$\pm$2, consistent with microscopic calculations. This enhancement factor is similar to the one obtained for mass A$\sim$170 in our previous measurement. The energy-dependent collective enhancement over a wide range of excitation energies was inferred by combining the present results with the available Oslo level density below the neutron binding energy.

The collective enhancement of nuclear level density and its fade out with excitation energy in deformed $^{171}$Yb nucleus has been inferred through an exclusive measurement of neutron spectra. The statistical model analysis of neutron spectra demonstrated a large collective enhancement factor of 40$\pm$3 for the first time, which corroborates with the recent microscopic model predictions but is an anomalous result compared with the measurements in the nearby deformed nuclei. The complete picture of the energy dependent collective enhancement has been obtained by combining with Oslo data below neutron binding energy. The significance of large collective enhancement in radiative neutron capture cross section of astrophysical interest is highlighted.

Mass distributions of fission fragments arising from the slow quasi-fission process have been derived by comparing the measured distributions with the theoretical distributions based on compound nuclear fission model for several reactions. The mass-distributions corresponding to quasi-fission events for all the systems show the following common features: (1) they are double peaked with fixed peak-centroids and nearly same width at different incident energies, (2) the yield of quasi-fission events decreases with the increasing projectile energy, and (3) peak corresponding to lighter fragment is observed at A $\sim$ 96 for all the systems, whereas the peak of heavier fragment increases linearly with the mass of the di-nuclear system. All the above observations are quite similar to the ones observed in well known asymmetric fission of actinides, thus providing clear evidences of shell effect in slow quasi-fission where the lighter fragment is possibly nuclei around $^{96}$Zr, a new doubly magic nucleus. This finding has great implications in the study of nuclear reactions, structure and particularly in super-heavy element synthesis where quasi-fission is synonymous.

The $^6$Li(n,$γ$)$^7$Li cross sections in the neutron energy range of 0.6 to 4 MeV have been measured by the experimental implementation of the direct capture formalism. This was done by measuring the $γ$ transition probability experimentally and accounting for the spin factor by theoretical calculation. The electromagnetic transition probabilities from $^7$Li$^*$ analogous to the initial neutron capture states of $^6$Li$+n$ were measured by populating the J$_i$ states of $^7$Li through $^7$Li($p,p'$)$^7$Li$^*$ reaction. The impact of coupling of resonant states, above neutron separation threshold of $^7$Li, in the neutron capture, is observed from the capture $γ$ spectrum. The measured cross sections were reproduced through {\sc fresco} and Talys-1.95 Direct Capture Calculations.

These consist of multiple ion traps, each designed for solving specific tasks, that are connected by transport links. In this paper we present the backend compiler phases needed for running quantum circuits on a QCCD architecture, while providing strategies to solve the optimization problems that occur when generating assembly instructions. We implement and test these strategies for the QVLS-Q1 chip architecture.

One-way quantum computing is a promising candidate for fault-tolerant quantum computing. Here, we propose new protocols to realize a deterministic one-way CNOT gate and one-way $X$-rotations on quantum-computing platforms. By applying a delayed-choice scheme, we overcome a limit of most currently available quantum computers, which are unable to implement further operations on measured qubits or operations conditioned on measurement results from other qubits. Moreover, we decrease the error rate of the one-way logic gates, compared to the original protocol using local operations and classical communication (LOCC). In addition, we apply our deterministic one-way CNOT gate in the Deutsch-Jozsa algorithm to show the feasibility of our proposal. We demonstrate all these one-way gates and algorithms by running experiments on the cloud quantum-computing platform IBM Quantum Experience.

The formation of continuum neutron distribution in $^7$Li(p,n) has been identified as due to the coupling of the $^7$Be breakup levels to the final state of the reaction. The continuum neutron spectra produced by $^7$Li(p,n) reaction has been estimated by measuring the double differential cross sections for continuum and resonant breakup of $^7$Be, through $^7$Li(p,n)$^7$Be$^*$ reaction at 21 MeV…

The breakup contributions from continuum and $5/2^-$, $7/2^-$ states of $^7$Be have been identified. The measured double differential cross sections have been reproduced through CDCC-CRC calculations. The cross sections were projected to neutron spectrum using Monte-Carlo approach and validated using experimentally measured $^3$He gated neutron spectra. $^7$Li(p,n) neutron spectrum at 20 MeV incident proton energy measured by McNaughton. et al. has been reproduced by adapting estimated model parameters for the reaction.

Here, for the first time, we demonstrate a quantum simulation of QHO in the presence of both time-varying and constant force field for both one and two dimensional case. New quantum circuits are developed to simulate both the one and two-dimensional QHO and are implemented on the real quantum chip "ibmqx4". Experimental data, clearly illustrating the dynamics of QHO in the presence of time-dependent force field, are presented in graphs for different frequency parameters in the Hamiltonian picture.

Abstract:
A recent paper [J. Math. Phys. {\bf 59}, 082105 (2018)] constructs a Hamiltonian for the (dissipative) damped harmonic oscillator. We point out that non-Hermiticity of this Hamiltonian has been ignored to find real discrete eigenvalues which are actually non-real. We emphasize that non-Hermiticity in Hamiltonian is crucial and it is a quantal signature of dissipation.
