In recent years, we have witnessed the growing interest from academia and industry in applying data science technologies to analyze large amounts of data. In this process, a myriad of artifacts (datasets, pipeline scripts, etc.) are created. However, there has been no systematic attempt to holistically collect and exploit all the knowledge and experiences that are implicitly contained in those artifacts. Instead, data scientists recover information and expertise from colleagues or learn via trial and error. Hence, this paper presents a scalable platform, KGLiDS, that employs machine learning and knowledge graph technologies to abstract and capture the semantics of data science artifacts and their connections. Based on this information, KGLiDS enables various downstream applications, such as data discovery and pipeline automation. Our comprehensive evaluation covers use cases in data discovery, data cleaning, transformation, and AutoML. It shows that KGLiDS is significantly faster with a lower memory footprint than the state-of-the-art systems while achieving comparable or better accuracy.

We study the conormal sheaves and singular schemes of 1-dimensional foliations on smooth projective varieties $X$ of dimension 3 and Picard rank 1. We prove that if the singular scheme has dimension 0, then the conormal sheaf is $μ$-stable whenever the tangent bundle $TX$ is stable, and apply this fact to the characterization of certain irreducible components of the moduli space of rank 2 reflexive sheaves on $\mathbb{P}^3$ and on a smooth quadric hypersurface $Q_3\subset\mathbb{P}^4$. Finally, we give a classification of local complete intersection foliations, that is, foliations with locally free conormal sheaves, of degree 0 and 1 on $Q_3$.

The sensitivity of the SHiP detector is reviewed for dark photons in the mass range between 0.002 and 10 GeV. Different production mechanisms are simulated, with the dark photons decaying to pairs of visible fermions, including both leptons and quarks. Exclusion contours are presented and compared with those of past experiments. The SHiP detector is expected to have a unique sensitivity for m$_{γ^{\mathrm{D}}}$ ranging between 0.8 and 3.3$^{+0.2}_{-0.5}$ GeV, and $\varepsilon^2$ ranging between $10^{-11}$ and $10^{-17}$.

We propose to build and operate a detector that, for the first time, will measure the process $pp\toνX$ at the LHC and search for feebly interacting particles (FIPs) in an unexplored domain. The TI18 tunnel has been identified as a suitable site to perform these measurements due to very low machine-induced background. The detector will be off-axis with respect to the ATLAS interaction point (IP1) and, given the pseudo-rapidity range accessible, the corresponding neutrinos will mostly come from charm decays: the proposed experiment will thus make the first test of the heavy flavour production in a pseudo-rapidity range that is not accessible by the current LHC detectors. In order to efficiently reconstruct neutrino interactions and identify their flavour, the detector will combine in the target region nuclear emulsion technology with scintillating fibre tracking layers and it will adopt a muon identification system based on scintillating bars that will also play the role of a hadronic calorimeter. The time of flight measurement will be achieved thanks to a dedicated timing detector. The detector will be a small-scale prototype of the scattering and neutrino detector (SND) of the SHiP experiment: the operation of this detector will provide an important test of the neutrino reconstruction in a high occupancy environment.

We obtain an exact Kerr-like black hole solution by solving the corresponding gravitational field equations in Einstein-bumblebee gravity model where Lorentz symmetry is spontaneously broken once a vector field acquires a vacuum expectation value. Results are presented for the purely radial Lorentz symmetry breaking. In order to study the effects of this breaking, we consider the black hole shadow and find that the radial of the unstable spherical orbit on the equatorial plane $r_c$ decreases with the Lorentz breaking constant $\ell>0$, and increases with $\ell<0$. These shifts are similar to those of Einstein-aether black hole. The effect of the LV parameter on the black hole shadow is that it accelerates the appearance of shadow distortion, and could be detected by the new generation of gravitational antennas.

We study the relations between algebro-geometric properties of the singular set of singular holomorphic distributions and their associated sheaves. We characterize either distributions whose tangent sheaf or conormal sheaf are arithmetically Cohen Macaulay (aCM) on smooth weighted projective complete intersection Fano manifolds threefold. We also prove that a codimension one locally free distribution with trivial canonical bundle on any Fano threefold, with Picard number equal to one, has a tangent sheaf which either splits or it is stable.

We have obtained an exact vacuum solution from a gravity sector contained in the minimal standard-model extension. The theoretical model assumes a Riemann spacetime coupled to the bumblebee field which is responsible for the spontaneous Lorentz symmetry breaking. The solution achieved in a static and spherically symmetric scenario establishes a Schwarzschild-like black hole. In order to study the effects of the spontaneous Lorentz symmetry breaking, we have investigated some classics tests including the advance of the perihelion, bending of light and Shapiro's time-delay. Furthermore, we have computed some upper-bounds from which the most stringent one attains a sensitivity at the $10^{-13}$ level.

We have shown the existence of self-dual solutions in new Maxwell-Higgs scenarios where the gauge field possesses a $k$-generalized dynamic, i.e., the kinetic term of gauge field is a highly nonlinear function of $F_{μν}F^{μν}$. We have implemented our proposal by means of a $k$-generalized model displaying the spontaneous symmetry breaking phenomenon. We implement consistently the Bogomol'nyi-Prasad-Sommerfield formalism providing highly nonlinear self-dual equations whose solutions are electrically neutral possessing total energy proportional to the magnetic flux. Among the infinite set of possible configurations, we have found families of $k$-generalized models whose self-dual equations have a form mathematically similar to the ones arising in the Maxwell-Higgs or Chern-Simons-Higgs models. Furthermore, we have verified that our proposal also supports infinite twinlike models with $|φ|^4$-potential or $|φ|^6$-potential. With the aim to show explicitly that the BPS equations are able to provide well-behaved configurations, we have considered a test model in order to study axially symmetric vortices. By depending of the self-dual potential, we have shown that the $k$-generalized model is able to produce solutions that for long distances have a exponential decay (as Abrikosov-Nielsen-Olesen vortices) or have a power-law decay (characterizing delocalized vortices). In all cases, we observe that the generalization modifies the vortex core size, the magnetic field amplitude and the bosonic masses but the total energy remains proportional to the quantized magnetic flux.

Resonances and final state interactions (FSI) play a role in the formation of CP violation (CPV) constrained by CPT invariance. We provide a general formulation of CPV including resonances and FSI starting from the CPT constraint. Our discussion is elaborated within a simple $B$ decay model with the $ρ$ and $f_0(980)$ resonances plus a non resonant background including the $ππ\to KK$ coupled amplitude. We consider few illustrative examples to show the interference patterns appearing in the CP asymmetry, namely, that from the $ρ$ resonance plus a non-resonant amplitude, and that from the interference of the $ρ$ and $f_0(980)$ resonances. We perform the fit of the CP asymmetry for the charmless three-body $B^\pm$ decay channel $B^{\pm}\to π^{\pm} π^+π^-$ and obtain as outcome the $B^{\pm}\to π^{\pm} K^+K^-$ for $ππ$ channel asymmetry in the mass region below $1.6$ GeV in fair agreement with the new data LHCb data. Analogously, we also describe the CP asymmetry of the $B^\pm\to K^\pmπ^+π^-$ decay, with that from the $B^\pm\to K^\pm K^+K^-$ channel obtained as output. As in the previous case, we also found agreement with LHCb experimental data.

Describing complex phenomena by means of cellular automata (CA) has shown to be a very effective approach in pure and applied sciences. In fact, the number of published papers concerning this topic has tremendously increased over the last twenty years. Most of the applications, notwithstanding, use cellular automata to qualitatively describe the phenomena, which is surely a consequence of the way the automata rules have been defined. In the present paper a general rule which describes every of Wolfram's cellular automata is derived. The new representation is given in terms of a new function hereby defined, the iota-delta function. The latter function is further generalized in order to provide a general rule for not only Wolfram's but also to every CA rule which depends on the sum and products of the values of cells in the automaton mesh. By means of a parallel between the finite difference method and the iota-delta function, the new representation provides a straightforward physical interpretation of CA, which gives, for the first time, a quantitative interpretation of the generating rule itself. By means of the new formulation, advective-diffusive phenomena are analyzed. In particular, the relation between CA automata and anomalous diffusion is briefly discussed.
