SDHDF: A new file format for spectral-domain radio astronomy data

Abstract: Radio astronomy file formats are now required to store wide frequency bandwidths and multiple simultaneous receiver beams and must be able to account for versatile observing modes and numerous calibration strategies. The need to capture and archive high-time and high frequency-resolution data, along with the comprehensive metadata that fully describe the data, implies that a new data format and ne… ▽ More Radio astronomy file formats are now required to store wide frequency bandwidths and multiple simultaneous receiver beams and must be able to account for versatile observing modes and numerous calibration strategies. The need to capture and archive high-time and high frequency-resolution data, along with the comprehensive metadata that fully describe the data, implies that a new data format and new processing software are required. This requirement is suited to a well-defined, hierarchically-structured and flexible file format. In this paper we present the Spectral-Domain Hierarchical Data Format (`SDHDF') -- a new file format for radio astronomy data, in particular for single dish or beam-formed data streams. Since 2018, SDHDF has been the primary format for data products from the spectral-line and continuum observing modes at Murriyang, the CSIRO Parkes 64-m radio telescope, and we demonstrate that this data format can also be used to store observations of pulsars and fast radio bursts. △ Less

Model-independent extraction of form factors and $|V_{cb}|$ in $\overline{B} \rightarrow D \ell^- \overlineνにゅー_\ell$ with hadronic tagging at BaBar

Abstract: Using the entire BaBar $Υうぷしろん(4S)$ data set, the first two-dimensional unbinned angular analysis of the semileptonic decay $\overline{B} \rightarrow D \ell^- \overlineνにゅー_\ell$ is performed, employing hadronic reconstruction of the tag-side $B$ meson from $Υうぷしろん(4S)\to B\overline{B}$. Here, $\ell$ denotes the light charged leptons $e$ and $μみゅー$. A novel data-driven signal-background separation procedure with minimal dependence on simulation is developed. This procedure preserves all multi-dimensional correlations present in the data. The expected $\sin^2θしーた_\ell$ dependence of the differential decay rate in the Standard Model is demonstrated, where $θしーた_\ell$ is the lepton helicity angle. Including input from the latest lattice QCD calculations and previously available experimental data, the underlying form factors are extracted using both model-independent (BGL) and dependent (CLN) methods. Comparisons with lattice calculations show flavor SU(3) symmetry to be a good approximation in the $B_{(s)}\to D_{(s)}$ sector. Using the BGL results, the CKM matrix element $|V_{cb}|=(41.09\pm 1.16)\times 10^{-3}$ and the Standard Model prediction of the lepton-flavor universality violation variable $\mathcal{R}(D)=0.300\pm 0.004$, are extracted. The value of $|V_{cb}|$ from $\overline{B} \rightarrow D \ell^- \overlineνにゅー_\ell$ tends to be higher than that extracted using $\overline{B} \rightarrow D \ell^- \overlineνにゅー_\ell$. The Standard Model $\mathcal{R}(D)$ calculation is at a $1.97σしぐま$ tension with the latest HFLAV experimental average. △ Less

Probing the Conditions for the Hı-to-H$_{2}$ Transition in the Interstellar Medium

Abstract: In this paper, we investigate the conditions for the HI-to-H$_{2}$ transition in the solar neighborhood by analyzing HI emission and absorption measurements toward 58 Galactic lines of sight (LOSs) along with $^{12}$CO(1$-$0) (CO) and dust data. Based on the accurate column densities of the cold and warm neutral medium (CNM and WNM), we first perform a decomposition of gas into atomic and molecula… ▽ More In this paper, we investigate the conditions for the HI-to-H$_{2}$ transition in the solar neighborhood by analyzing HI emission and absorption measurements toward 58 Galactic lines of sight (LOSs) along with $^{12}$CO(1$-$0) (CO) and dust data. Based on the accurate column densities of the cold and warm neutral medium (CNM and WNM), we first perform a decomposition of gas into atomic and molecular phases and show that the observed LOSs are mostly HI-dominated. In addition, we find that the CO-dark H$_{2}$, not the optically thick HI, is a major ingredient of the dark gas in the solar neighborhood. To examine the conditions for the formation of CO-bright molecular gas, we analyze the kinematic association between HI and CO and find that the CNM is kinematically more closely associated with CO than the WNM. When CNM components within CO line widths are isolated, we find the following characteristics: spin temperature $<$ 200 K, peak optical depth $>$ 0.1, CNM fraction of $\sim$0.6, and $V$-band dust extinction $>$ 0.5 mag. These results suggest that CO-bright molecular gas preferentially forms in environments with high column densities where the CNM becomes colder and more abundant. Finally, we confront the observed CNM properties with the steady-state H$_{2}$ formation model of Sternberg et al. and infer that the CNM must be clumpy with a small volume filling factor. Another possibility would be that missing processes in the model, such as cosmic-rays and gas dynamics, play an important role in the HI-to-H$_{2}$ transition. △ Less

Node package manager's dependency network robustness

Abstract: The robustness of npm dependency network is a crucial property, since many projects and web applications heavily rely on the functionalities of packages, especially popular ones that have many dependant packages. In the past, there have been instances where the removal or update of certain npm packages has caused widespread chaos and web-page downtime on the internet. Our goal is to track the netw… ▽ More The robustness of npm dependency network is a crucial property, since many projects and web applications heavily rely on the functionalities of packages, especially popular ones that have many dependant packages. In the past, there have been instances where the removal or update of certain npm packages has caused widespread chaos and web-page downtime on the internet. Our goal is to track the network's resilience to such occurrences through time and figure out whether the state of the network is trending towards a more robust structure. We show that the network is not robust to targeted attacks, since a security risk in a few crucial nodes affects a large part of the network. Because such packages are often backed up by serious communities with high standards, the issue is not alarming and is a consequence of power law distribution of the network. The current trend in average number of dependencies and effect of important nodes on the rest of the network is decreasing, which further improves the resilience and sets a positive path in development. Furthermore, we show that communities form around the most important packages, although they do not conform well to the common community definition using modularity. We also provide guidelines for package development that increases the robustness of the network and reduces the possibility of introducing security risks. △ Less

The absolute determination of branching fractions for these decays are significantly improved compared to previous BaBaR measurements. A total of 424 fb$^{-1}$ of $e^+e^-$ collision data collected at the center-of-mass energy of the $Υうぷしろん$(4S) resonance is used in this study, corresponding to a sample of ${(471 \pm 3) \times 10^{6}}$ $B\overline{B}$ pairs. Signal $B^- \to Λらむだ{\overline p} νにゅー{\overlineνにゅー}$ candidates are identified by first fully reconstructing a $B^+$ decay in one of many possible exclusive decays to hadronic final states, then examining detector activity that is not associated with this reconstructed $B^+$ decay for evidence of a signal $B^- \to Λらむだ{\overline p} νにゅー{\overlineνにゅー}$ decay. The data yield is found to be consistent with the expected background contribution under a null signal hypothesis, resulting in an upper limit of ${{\cal B} (B^- \to Λらむだ{\overline p} νにゅー{\overlineνにゅー}) < 3.0\times 10^{-5}}$ at the $90\%$ confidence level. △ Less

3D Gamma-ray and Neutron Mapping in Real-Time with the Localization and Mapping Platform from Unmanned Aerial Systems and Man-Portable Configurations

Abstract: Nuclear Scene Data Fusion (SDF), implemented in the Localization and Mapping Platform (LAMP) fuses three-dimensional (3D), real-time volumetric reconstructions of radiation sources with contextual information (e.g. LIDAR, camera, etc.) derived from the environment around the detector system. This information, particularly when obtained in real time, may be transformative for applications, includin… ▽ More Nuclear Scene Data Fusion (SDF), implemented in the Localization and Mapping Platform (LAMP) fuses three-dimensional (3D), real-time volumetric reconstructions of radiation sources with contextual information (e.g. LIDAR, camera, etc.) derived from the environment around the detector system. This information, particularly when obtained in real time, may be transformative for applications, including directed search for lost or stolen sources, consequence management after the release of radioactive materials, or contamination avoidance in security-related or emergency response scenarios. 3D reconstructions enabled by SDF localize contamination or hotspots to specific areas or objects, providing higher resolution over larger areas than conventional 2D approaches, and enabling more efficient planning and response, particularly in complex 3D environments. In this work, we present the expansion of these gamma-ray mapping concepts to neutron source localization. Here we integrate LAMP with a custom $Cs_2LiLa(Br,Cl)_6:Ce$ (CLLBC) scintillator detector sensitive to both gamma-rays and neutrons, which we dub Neutron Gamma LAMP (NG-LAMP). NG-LAMP enables simultaneous neutron and gamma-ray mapping with high resolution gamma-ray spectroscopy. We demonstrate the ability to detect and localize surrogate Special Nuclear Materials (SNM) in real-time and in 3D based on neutron signatures alone, which is critical for the detection of heavily shielded SNM, when gamma-ray signatures are attenuated. In this work, we show for the first time the ability to localize, in 3D and realtime, a neutron source in the presence of a strong gamma-ray source, simultaneous and spectroscopic localization of three gamma-ray sources and a neutron source, and finally the localization of a surrogate SNM source based on neutron signatures alone, where gamma-ray data are consistent with background. △ Less

Minimal coarse-grained models, where a whole macromolecule is represented by a small number of particles, can be of great value in identifying the main driving forces behind self-organisation in cell biology. Such models can incorporate data from both molecular and continuum scales, and their results can be directly compared to experiments. Here we review the state of the art of models for studying the formation and biological function of macromolecular assemblies in cells. We outline the key ingredients of each model and their main findings. We illustrate the contribution of this class of simulations to identifying the physical mechanisms behind life and diseases, and discuss their future developments. △ Less

This leads to an increase in efficiency and manageability, but also increases the attack surface. Industrial networks often consist of legacy systems that have not been designed with security in mind. In the last decade, an increase in attacks on cyber-physical systems was observed, with drastic consequences on the physical work. In this work, attack vectors on industrial networks are categorised. A real-world process is simulated, attacks are then introduced. Finally, two machine learning-based methods for time series anomaly detection are employed to detect the attacks. Search for rare or forbidden decays of the $D^{0}$ meson

Abstract: We present a search for nine lepton-number-violating and three lepton-flavor-violating neutral charm decays of the type $D^0\rightarrow h^{\prime -} h^{-}\ell^{\prime +} \ell^{+}$ and $D^0\rightarrow h^{\prime -} h^{+}\ell^{\prime\pm} \ell^{\mp}$, where $h$ and $h^{\prime}$ represent a $K$ or $πぱい$ meson and $\ell$ and $\ell^{\prime}$ an electron or muon. The analysis is based on $468$ fb$^{-1}$ of $e^+e^-$ annihilation data collected at or close to the $Y(4S)$ resonance with the BaBar detector at the SLAC National Accelerator Laboratory. No significant signal is observed for any of the twelve modes and we establish 90% confidence level upper limits on the branching fractions in the range $(1.0 - 30.6)\times 10^{-7}$. 3-D Radiation Mapping in Real-Time with the Localization and Mapping Platform LAMP from Unmanned Aerial Systems and Man-Portable Configurations

We present the Localization and Mapping Platform (LAMP) as a modular, contextual and radiation detector sen… ▽ More Real-time, meter-resolution gamma-ray mapping is relevant in the detection and mapping of radiological materials, and for applications ranging from nuclear decommissioning, waste management, and environmental remediation to homeland security, emergency response, and international safeguards. We present the Localization and Mapping Platform (LAMP) as a modular, contextual and radiation detector sensor suite, which performs gamma-ray mapping in three dimensions (3-D) and in real time, onboard an unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) or in a man-portable configuration. The deployment of an unmanned aerial system (UAS) for gamma-ray mapping can be advantageous, as the UAS provides a means of measuring large areas efficiently and improving accessibility to some environments, such as multi-story structures. In addition, it is possible to increase measurement robustness through autonomous navigation, and to reduce radiation exposure to users as a result of the remote measurement. LAMP enables meter-resolution gamma-ray mapping through Scene Data Fusion (SDF) [1], a capability that fuses radiation and scene data via voxelized 3-D Maximum Likelihood Expectation Maximization (MLEM) to produce 3-D maps of radioactive source distributions in real-time. Results are computed onboard LAMP while it is flying on the UAV and streamed from the system to the user, who can view the 3-D map on a tablet in real-time. We present results that demonstrate the SDF concept, including a set of UAS flights where a 133Ba source is localized at a test site in Berkeley, CA and a handheld measurement in Fukushima Prefecture, Japan where the distribution of radiocesium(137,134Cs) released from the accident of the Fukushima Daiichi Nuclear Power Plant is mapped. We measure $\sin{2βべーた} = 0.80 \pm 0.14 \,(\rm{stat.}) \pm 0.06 \,(\rm{syst.}) \pm 0.03 \,(\rm{model})$ and $\cos{2βべーた} = 0.91 \pm 0.22 \,(\rm{stat.}) \pm 0.09 \,(\rm{syst.}) \pm 0.07 \,(\rm{model})$. The result for the direct measurement of the angle is $βべーた= \left( 22.5 \pm 4.4 \,(\rm{stat.}) \pm 1.2 \,(\rm{syst.}) \pm 0.6 \,(\rm{model}) \right)^{\circ}$. The last quoted uncertainties are due to the composition of the $D^{0} \to K_{S}^{0} πぱい^{+} πぱい^{-}$ decay amplitude model, which is newly established by a Dalitz plot amplitude analysis of a high-statistics $e^{+}e^{-} \to c\bar{c}$ data sample as part of this analysis. We find the first evidence for $\cos2βべーた>0$ at the level of $3.7$ standard deviations. The measurement excludes the trigonometric multifold solution $πぱい/2 - βべーた= (68.1 \pm 0.7)^{\circ}$ at the level of $7.3$ standard deviations and therefore resolves an ambiguity in the determination of the apex of the CKM Unitarity Triangle. The hypothesis of $βべーた= 0^{\circ}$ is ruled out at the level of $5.1$ standard deviations, and thus CP violation is observed in $B^{0} \to D^{(*)} h^{0}$ decays. △ Less

Abstract: The decay $J/ψぷさい\rightarrow γがんまγがんまφふぁい$ is studied using a sample of $1.31 \times10^{9}$ $J/ψぷさい$ events collected with the BESIII detector. Two structures around 1475 MeV/c$^2$ and 1835 MeV/c$^2$ are observed in the $γがんまφふぁい$ invariant mass spectrum for the first time. Abstract: The process $e^{+}e^{-}\rightarrowΛらむだ\barΛらむだ$ is studied using data samples at $\sqrt{s}=2.2324$, 2.400, 2.800 and 3.080 GeV collected with the BESIII detector operating at the BEPCII collider. The Born cross section is measured at $\sqrt{s}$=2.2324 GeV, which is 1.0 MeV above the $Λらむだ\barΛらむだ$ mass threshold, to be $305\pm45^{+66}_{-36}$ pb, where the first uncertainty is statistical and the second system… ▽ More The process $e^{+}e^{-}\rightarrowΛらむだ\barΛらむだ$ is studied using data samples at $\sqrt{s}=2.2324$, 2.400, 2.800 and 3.080 GeV collected with the BESIII detector operating at the BEPCII collider. Spatial cytoskeleton organization supports targeted intracellular transport

Abstract: The efficiency of intracellular cargo transport from specific source to target locations is strongly dependent upon molecular motor-assisted motion along the cytoskeleton. Radial transport along microtubules and lateral transport along the filaments of the actin cortex underneath the cell membrane are characteristic for cells with a centrosome. The interplay between the specific cytoskeleton organ… ▽ More The efficiency of intracellular cargo transport from specific source to target locations is strongly dependent upon molecular motor-assisted motion along the cytoskeleton. Radial transport along microtubules and lateral transport along the filaments of the actin cortex underneath the cell membrane are characteristic for cells with a centrosome. The interplay between the specific cytoskeleton organization and the motor performance realizes a spatially inhomogeneous intermittent search strategy. In order to analyze the efficiency of such intracellular search strategies we formulate a random velocity model with intermittent arrest states. We evaluate efficiency in terms of mean first passage times for three different, frequently encountered intracellular transport tasks: i) the narrow escape problem, which emerges during cargo transport to a synapse or other specific region of the cell membrane, ii) the reaction problem, which considers the binding time of two particles within the cell, and iii) the reaction-escape problem, which arises when cargo must be released at a synapse only after pairing with another particle. Our results indicate that cells are able to realize efficient search strategies for various intracellular transport tasks economically through a spatial cytoskeleton organization that involves only a narrow actin cortex rather than a cell body filled with randomly oriented actin filaments. △ Less

Observation of $e^+ e^- \to ηいーたY(2175)$ at center-of-mass energies above 3.7$\sim$GeV

Abstract: The state $Y(2175)$ is observed in the process $e^+ e^- \to ηいーたY(2175)$ at center-of-mass energies between 3.7 and 4.6$\sim$GeV with a statistical significance larger than $10σしぐま$ using data collected with the BESIII detector operating at the BEPCII storage ring. This is the first observation of the $Y(2175)$ in this process. The mass and width of the $Y(2175)$ are determined to be ($2135\pm 8\pm 9$)~… ▽ More The state $Y(2175)$ is observed in the process $e^+ e^- \to ηいーたY(2175)$ at center-of-mass energies between 3.7 and 4.6$\sim$GeV with a statistical significance larger than $10σしぐま$ using data collected with the BESIII detector operating at the BEPCII storage ring. This is the first observation of the $Y(2175)$ in this process. No significant signal for the process $e^+ e^- \to ηいーた' Y(2175)$ is observed and the upper limit on $σしぐま(e^+ e^- \to ηいーた' Y(2175))/σしぐま(e^+ e^- \to ηいーたY(2175))$ is estimated to be 0.43 at the 90\% confidence level. We also search for $ψぷさい(3686) \to ηいーたY(2175)$. No significant signal is observed, indicating a strong suppression relative to the corresponding $J/ψぷさい$ decay, in violation of the "12\% rule." △ Less

Abstract: We search for the rare decay $D^+\to D^0 e^+νにゅー_{e}$, using a data set with an integrated luminosity of 2.93 $\rm fb^{-1}$ collected at $\sqrt{s}=3.773$ GeV with the BESIII detector operating at the BEPCII storage rings. No signals are observed. We set the upper limit on the branching fraction for $D^+\to D^0 e^+νにゅー_e$ to be $1.0\times 10^{-4}$ at the 90\% confidence level. Abstract: Using 2.93~fb$^{-1}$ of data taken at 3.773 GeV with the BESIII detector operated at the BEPCII collider, we study the semileptonic decays $D^+ \to \bar K^0e^+νにゅー_e$ and $D^+ \to πぱい^0 e^+νにゅー_e$. We measure the absolute decay branching fractions $\mathcal B(D^+ \to \bar K^0e^+νにゅー_e)=(8.60\pm0.06\pm 0.15)\times10^{-2}$ and $\mathcal B(D^+ \to πぱい^0e^+νにゅー_e)=(3.63\pm0.08\pm0.05)\times10^{-3}$, where the first u… ▽ More Using 2.93~fb$^{-1}$ of data taken at 3.773 GeV with the BESIII detector operated at the BEPCII collider, we study the semileptonic decays $D^+ \to \bar K^0e^+νにゅー_e$ and $D^+ \to πぱい^0 e^+νにゅー_e$. We measure the absolute decay branching fractions $\mathcal B(D^+ \to \bar K^0e^+νにゅー_e)=(8.60\pm0.06\pm 0.15)\times10^{-2}$ and $\mathcal B(D^+ \to πぱい^0e^+νにゅー_e)=(3.63\pm0.08\pm0.05)\times10^{-3}$, where the first uncertainties are statistical and the second systematic. We also measure the differential decay rates and study the form factors of these two decays. With the values of $|V_{cs}|$ and $|V_{cd}|$ from Particle Data Group fits assuming CKM unitarity, we obtain the values of the form factors at $q^2=0$, $f^K_+(0) = 0.725\pm0.004\pm 0.012$ and $f^πぱい_+(0) = 0.622\pm0.012\pm 0.003$. Taking input from recent lattice QCD calculations of these form factors, we determine values of the CKM matrix elements $|V_{cs}|=0.944 \pm 0.005 \pm 0.015 \pm 0.024$ and $|V_{cd}|=0.210 \pm 0.004 \pm 0.001 \pm 0.009$, where the third uncertainties are theoretical. △ Less

Abstract: We study the process $e^{+}e^{-} \rightarrow πぱい^{+}πぱい^{-}ψぷさい(3686)$ using 5.1 $fb^{-1}$ of data collected at 16 center-of-mass energy ($\sqrt{s}$) points from 4.008 to 4.600$\sim$GeV by the BESIII detector operating at the BEPCII collider. The measured Born cross sections for $e^{+}e^{-}\rightarrow πぱい^{+}πぱい^{-}ψぷさい(3686)$ are consistent with previous results, but with much improved precision. A fit to the cross section shows contributions from two structures: the first has $M=4209.5\pm7.4\pm1.4$$\sim$MeV/$c^{2}$ and $Γがんま=80.1\pm24.6\pm2.9$$\sim$MeV, and the second has $M=4383.8\pm4.2\pm0.8$$\sim$MeV/c$^{2}$ and $Γがんま=84.2\pm12.5\pm2.1$$\sim$MeV, where the first errors are statistical and the second systematic. The lower-mass resonance is observed in the process $e^{+}e^{-}\rightarrow πぱい^{+}πぱい^{-}ψぷさい(3686)$ for the first time with a statistical significance of $5.8σしぐま$. A charged charmonium-like structure is observed in the $πぱい^{\pm}ψぷさい(3686)$ invariant mass spectrum for data at $\sqrt{s} = 4.416~$GeV. A fit with an $S$-wave Breit-Wigner function yields a mass $M=4032.1\pm2.4$~$MeV$^{2}$, where the errors are statistical only. However, there are still unresolved discrepancies between the fit model and data. The width of the intermediate state varies in a wide range for different kinematic regions within the data set. Therefore no simple interpretation of the data has been found, and a future data sample with larger statistics and more theoretical input will be required to better understand this issue. △ Less

Abstract: Based on $e^+e^-$ annihilation data samples collected with the BESIII detector at the BEPCII collider at 13 center of mass energies from 4.008 to 4.600 GeV, measurements of the Born cross section of $e^{+}e^{-}\rightarrow p \bar{p} πぱい^{0}$ are performed. No significant resonant structure is observed in the measured energy-dependent cross section. We also obtain the ratios of M2 contributions of $ψぷさい(3686)$ and $J/ψぷさい$ decays to $χかい_{c1,2}$, $b_{2}^{1}/b_{2}^{2} = 1.35\pm0.72$ and $a_{2}^{1}/a_{2}^{2} = 0.617\pm0.083$, which agree well with theoretical expectations. By considering the multipole contributions of $χかい_{c1,2}$, we measure the product branching fractions for the cascade decays $ψぷさい(3686)\rightarrowγがんまχかい_{c0,1,2}\toγがんまγがんまJ/ψぷさい$ and search for the process $ηいーた_{c}(2S)\toγがんまJ/ψぷさい$ through $ψぷさい(3686)\rightarrowγがんまηいーた_{c}(2S)$. Abstract: We study the decays of $J/ψぷさい$ and $ψぷさい(3686)$ to the final states $Σしぐま(1385)^{0}\barΣしぐま(1385)^{0}$ and $Ξくしー^0\barΞくしー^{0}$ based on a single baryon tag method using data samples of $(1310.6 \pm 7.0) \times 10^{6}$ $J/ψぷさい$ and $(447.9 \pm 2.9) \times 10^{6}$ $ψぷさい(3686)$ events collected with the BESIII detector at the BEPCII collider. The angular parameters for these decays are also measured for the first time. The measured angular decay parameter for $J/ψぷさい\rightarrowΣしぐま(1385)^{0}\barΣしぐま(1385)^{0}$, $αあるふぁ=-0.64 \pm 0.03 \pm 0.10$, is found to be negative, different to the other decay processes in this measurement. In addition, the "12\% rule" and isospin symmetry in the $J/ψぷさい$ and $ψぷさい(3686)\rightarrowΞくしー\barΞくしー$ and $Σしぐま(1385)\barΣしぐま(1385)$ systems are tested. △ Less

Abstract: The decays of $χかい_{c2}\to K^{+}K^{-}πぱい^{0}$, $K_{S} K^{\pm}πぱい^{\mp}$ and $πぱい^{+}πぱい^{-}πぱい^{0}$ are studied with the $ψぷさい(3686)$ data samples collected with the Beijing Spectrometer (BESIII). For the first time, the branching fractions of $χかい_{c2}\to K^{\ast}\overline{K}$, $χかい_{c2}\to a_{2}^{\pm}(1320)πぱい^{\mp}/a_{2}^{0}(1320)πぱい^{0}$ and $χかい_{c2}\to ρろー(770)^{\pm}πぱい^{\mp}$ are measured. Here $K^{\ast}\overline{K}$ denotes both $K^{\ast\pm}K^{\mp}$ and $K^{\ast 0}\overline{K}{}^{0}+c.c.$, and $K^{\ast}$ denotes the resonances $K^{\ast}(892)$, $K^{\ast}_{2}(1430)$ and $K^{\ast}_{3}(1780)$. The observations indicate a strong violation of the helicity selection rule in $χかい_{c2}$ decays into vector and pseudoscalar meson pairs. The measured branching fractions of $χかい_{c2}\to K^{\ast}(892)\overline{K}$ are more than 10 times larger than the upper limit of $χかい_{c2}\to ρろー(770)^{\pm}πぱい^{\mp}$, which is so far the first direct observation of a significant $U$-spin symmetry breaking effect in charmonium decays. △ Less

Abstract: We report the first measurement of the absolute branching fraction for $Λらむだ^+_{c}\rightarrow Λらむだμみゅー^+νにゅー_μみゅー$. This measurement is based on a sample of $e^+e^-$ annihilation data at a center-of-mass energy of $\sqrt{s}=4.6$ GeV collected with the BESIII detector at the BEPCII storage rings. The sample corresponds to an integrated luminosity of 567 pb$^{-1}$. The branching fraction is determined to be… ▽ More We report the first measurement of the absolute branching fraction for $Λらむだ^+_{c}\rightarrow Λらむだμみゅー^+νにゅー_μみゅー$. This measurement is based on a sample of $e^+e^-$ annihilation data at a center-of-mass energy of $\sqrt{s}=4.6$ GeV collected with the BESIII detector at the BEPCII storage rings. The sample corresponds to an integrated luminosity of 567 pb$^{-1}$. The branching fraction is determined to be $\mathcal B({Λらむだ^+_c\rightarrow Λらむだμみゅー^+νにゅー_μみゅー})=(3.49\pm0.46({\rm stat})\pm0.27({\rm syst}))\%$.
