Later investigations revealed the connection of multi-bidder case to the Beckmann's transportation problem. In this paper we overview a number of works on related subjects (monopolist's problem, regularity issues, weak transportation, measure ordering etc.). In addition, we prove some new results on duality for unreduced mechanisms.

The understanding of the mechanisms for the production of weakly bound clusters, such as a deuteron $d$, in heavy-ion reactions at mid-rapidity is presently one of the challenging problems which is also known as the "ice in a fire" puzzle. In this study we investigate the dynamical formation of deuterons within the Parton-Hadron-Quantum-Molecular Dynamics (PHQMD) microscopic transport approach and advance two microscopic production mechanisms to describe deuterons in heavy-ion collisions from SIS to RHIC energies: kinetic production by hadronic reactions and potential production by the attractive potential between nucleons. Differently to other studies, for the "kinetic" deuterons we employ the full isospin decomposition of the various $πNN\leftrightarrow πd$, $NNN\leftrightarrow N d$ channels and take into account the finite size properties of the deuteron by means of an excluded volume condition in coordinate space and by the projection onto the deuteron wave function in momentum space. We find that considering the quantum nature of the deuteron in coordinate and momentum space reduces substantially the kinetic deuteron production in a dense medium as encountered in heavy-ion collisions. If we add the "potential" deuterons by applying an advanced Minimum Spanning Tree (aMST) procedure, we obtain good agreement with the available experimental data from SIS energies up to the top RHIC energy.

We study the production of clusters and hypernuclei at midrapidity employing the Parton-Hadron-Quantum-Molecular-Dynamics (PHQMD) approach, a microscopic n-body transport model based on the QMD propagation of the baryonic degrees of freedom with density dependent 2-body potential interactions. In PHQMD the cluster formation occurs dynamically, caused by the interactions. The clusters are recognized by the Minimum Spanning Tree (MST) algorithm. We present the PHQMD results for cluster and hypernuclei formation in comparison with the available experimental data at relativistic energies. PHQMD allows to study the time evolution of formed clusters and the origin of their production, which helps to understand how such weakly bound objects are formed and survive in the rather dense and hot environment created in heavy-ion collisions. It offers therefore an explanation of the 'ice in the fire' puzzle. To investigate whether this explanation of the 'ice in the fire' puzzle applies only to the MST results we study also the deuterons production by coalescence. We embed MST and coalescence in the PHQMD and UrQMD transport approaches in order to obtain model independent results. We find that both clustering procedures give very similar results for the deuteron observables in the UrQMD as well as in the PHQMD environment. This confirms that our solution for the 'ice in the fire' puzzle is common to MST and coalescence and independent of the transport approach.

We consider the problem of revenue-maximizing Bayesian auction design with several bidders having independent private values over several items. We show that it can be reduced to the problem of continuous optimal transportation introduced by Beckmann (1952) where the optimal transportation flow generalizes the concept of ironed virtual valuations to the multi-item setting. We establish the strong duality between the two problems and the existence of solutions. The results rely on insights from majorization and optimal transportation theories and on the characterization of feasible interim mechanisms by Hart and Reny (2015).

In 2002 - 2017 the single-channel aperture photometer-polarimeter with a quarter-wave plate at the 2.6-m Shajn mirror telescope (SMT) was used. We accumulated a large homogeneous data set of polarimetric observations of different types of objects that are to be published separately. Correct polarimetric data processing requires high polarization standards and zero-polarization stars. We aim to improve the data reduction and calibration process to obtain further results with highest possible accuracy. High time resolution broad-band (WR, R, V, B, U) polarization observations are made of 98 known standard stars (527 time series with total duration about 184 hours). We determined values of linear and circular polarization for 98 nearby Northern bright stars. This catalogue is not compilative, but obtained using the same instrument and technique during large time interval. It will be used for our future research and it may be used by other authors. We implemented the least squares approach for determination of the Stokes parameters. It allowed us to obtain results with the accuracy better then we obtained using previously used methods. We report suspicious or variable stars that are not suitable as standards for high precision polarimetry.

The spectra are extrapolated to full phase space resulting in mean multiplicity of $Ξ\left(1530\right)^{0}$ (6.73 $\pm$ 0.25 $\pm$ 0.67)$\times10^{-4}$ and $\overlineΞ\left(1530\right)^{0}$ (2.71 $\pm$ 0.18 $\pm$ 0.18)$\times10^{-4}$. From superconductors to atomic nuclei, strongly-interacting many-body systems are ubiquitous in nature. Measuring the microscopic structure of such systems is a formidable challenge, often met by particle knockout scattering experiments. While such measurements are fundamental for mapping the structure of atomic nuclei, their interpretation is often challenged by quantum mechanical initial- and final-state interactions (ISI/FSI) of the incoming and scattered particles. Here we overcome this fundamental limitation by measuring the quasi-free scattering of 48 GeV/c 12C ions from hydrogen. The distribution of single protons is studied by detecting two protons at large angles in coincidence with an intact 11B nucleus. The 11B detection is shown to select the transparent part of the reaction and exclude the otherwise large ISI/FSI that would break the 11B apart. By further detecting residual 10B and 10Be nuclei, we also identified short-range correlated (SRC) nucleon-nucleon pairs, and provide direct experimental evidence for the separation of the pair wave-function from that of the residual many-body nuclear system. All measured reactions are well described by theoretical calculations that do not contain ISI/FSI distortions. Our results thus showcase a new ability to study the short-distance structure of short-lived radioactive atomic nuclei at the forthcoming FAIR and FRIB facilities. These studies will be pivotal for developing a ground-breaking microscopic understanding of the structure and properties of nuclei far from stability and the formation of visible matter in the universe.

The obtained production cross section is $σ_\mathrm{prod}~=~227.6~\pm~0.8\mathrm{(stat)}~_{-~3.2}^{+~1.9}\mathrm{(sys)}~{-~0.8}\mathrm{(mod)}$ mb. It is in agreement with previous NA61/SHINE results obtained with a thin carbon target, while providing improved precision with a total fractional uncertainty of less than 2$\%$. This direct measurement is performed to reduce the uncertainty on the T2K neutrino flux prediction associated with the re-weighting of the interaction rate of neutrino-yielding hadrons.

Motivated by the geodesic barycenter problem from optimal transportation theory, we prove a natural generalization of the Blaschke-Santalo inequality and the affine isoperimetric inequalities for many sets and many functions. We derive from it an entropy bound for the total Kantorovich cost appearing in the barycenter problem. We also establish a "pointwise Prekopa-Leindler inequality" and show a monotonicity property of the multimarginal Blaschke-Santalo functional.

Measurements of multiplicity fluctuations of identified hadrons produced in inelastic p+p interactions at 31, 40, 80, and 158~\GeVc beam momentum are presented. Three different measures of multiplicity fluctuations are used: the scaled variance $ω$ and strongly intensive measures $Σ$ and $Δ$. These fluctuation measures involve second and first moments of joint multiplicity distributions. Data analysis is performed using the Identity method which corrects for incomplete particle identification. Strongly intensive quantities are calculated in order to allow for a direct comparison to corresponding results on nucleus-nucleus collisions. The results for different hadron types are shown as a function of collision energy. A comparison with predictions of string-resonance Monte-Carlo models: Epos, Smash and Venus, is also presented.

The NA61/SHINE collaboration studies at the CERN Super Proton Synchrotron (SPS) the onset of deconfinement in hadronic matter by the measurement of particle production in collisions of nuclei with various sizes at a set of energies covering the SPS energy range. This paper presents results on inclusive double-differential spectra and mean multiplicities of $π^{-}$ mesons produced in the 5\% most \textit{central} $^7$Be+$^9$Be collisions at beam momenta of 19$A$, 30$A$, 40$A$, 75$A$ and 150$A$ GeV/$c$ obtained by the so-called $h^-$ method which does not require any particle identification.
The shape of the transverse mass spectra differs from the shapes measured in central Pb+Pb collisions and inelastic p+p interactions. The normalized width of the rapidity distribution decreases with increasing collision energy and is in between the results for inelastic nucleon-nucleon and central Pb+Pb collisions. The mean multiplicity of pions per wounded nucleon in \textit{central} $^7$Be+$^9$Be collisions is close to that in central Pb+Pb collisions up to 75$A$GeV/$c$. However, at the top SPS energy the result is close to the one for inelastic nucleon-nucleon interactions.
The results are discussed in the context of predictions for the onset of deconfinement at the CERN SPS collision energies.

We study the hadron production in $p+p$, $p+n$ and $n+n$ reactions within the microscopic Parton-Hadron-Dynamics (PHSD) transport approach in comparison to PYTHIA 8.2. We discuss the details of the "PHSD tune" of the Lund string model (realized by event generators FRITIOF and PYTHIA) in the vacuum (as in $N+N$ collisions) as well as its in-medium modifications relevant for heavy-ion collisions where a hot and dense matter is produced. We compare the results of PHSD and PYTHIA 8.2 (default version) for the excitation function of hadron multiplicities as well as differential rapidity $y$, transverse momentum $p_T$ and $x_F$ distributions in $p+p$, $p+n$ and $n+n$ reactions with the existing experimental data in the energy range $\sqrt{s_{NN}} = 2.7 - 7000$ GeV. We discuss the production mechanisms of hadrons and the role of final state interactions (FSI) due to the hadronic rescattering. We also show the influence of the possible quark-gluon plasma (QGP) formation on hadronic observables in $p+p$ collisions at LHC energies. We stress the importance of developing a reliable event generator for elementary reactions from low to ultra-relativistic energies in view of actual and upcoming heavy-ion experiments.

Measurements were carried out for unlike-sign and like-sign charge hadron pairs independently. The $C(Δη,Δφ)$ correlation functions were compared with results from a similar analysis on p+p interactions at similar beam momenta per nucleon. General trends of the back-to-back correlations are similar in central Be+Be collisions and p+p interactions, but are suppressed in magnitude due to the increased combinatorial background. Predictions from the EPOS and UrQMD models are compared to the measurements. Evolution of an enhancement around $(Δη,Δφ) = (0,0)$ with incident energy is observed in central Be+Be collisions. It is not predicted by both models and almost non-existing in proton-proton collisions at the same momentum per nucleon.

We prove that for any semi-norm $\|\cdot\|$ on $\mathbb{R}^n,$ and any symmetric convex body $K$ in $\mathbb{R}^n,$ \begin{equation}\label{ineq-abs2} \int_{\partial K} \frac{\|n_x\|^2}{\langle x,n_x\rangle}\leq \frac{1}{|K|}\left(\int_{\partial K} \|n_x\| \right)^2, \end{equation} and characterize the equality cases of this new inequality. The above would also follow from the Log-Brunn-Minkowski conjecture, if the latter was proven, and we believe that it may be of independent interest. We, furthermore, obtain an improvement of this inequality in some cases, involving the Poincare constant of $K.$
The conjectured Log-Brunn-Minkowski inequality is a strengthening of the Brunn-Minkowski inequality in the partial case of symmetric convex bodies, equivalent to the validity of the following statement: for all symmetric convex smooth sets $K$ in $\mathbb{R}^n$ and all smooth even $f:\partial K\rightarrow \mathbb{R},$ \begin{equation}\label{ineq-abs} \int_{\partial K} H_x f^2-\langle \mbox{II}^{-1}\nabla_{\partial K} f, \nabla_{\partial K} f\rangle +\frac{f^2}{\langle x,n_x\rangle}\leq \frac{1}{|K|}\left(\int_{\partial K} f \right)^2. \end{equation} In this note, we verify the above with the particular choice of speed function $f(x)=|\langle v,n_x\rangle|$, for all symmetric convex bodies $K$, where $v\in\mathbb{R}^n$ is an arbitrary vector.

We study several of the recent conjectures in regards to the role of symmetry in the inequalities of Brunn-Minkowski type, such as the $L_p$-Brunn-Minkowski conjecture of Böröczky, Lutwak, Yang and Zhang, and the Dimensional Brunn-Minkowski conjecture of Gardner and Zvavitch, in a unified framework. We obtain several new results for these conjectures.
We show that when $K\subset L,$ the multiplicative form of the $L_p$-Brunn-Minkowski conjecture holds for Lebesgue measure for $p\geq 1-Cn^{-0.75}$, which improves upon the estimate of Kolesnikov and Milman in the partial case when one body is contained in the other.
We also show that the multiplicative version of the $L_p$-Brunn-Minkowski conjecture for the standard Gaussian measure holds in the case of sets containing sufficiently large ball (whose radius depends on $p$). In particular, the Gaussian Log-Brunn-Minkowski conjecture holds when $K$ and $L$ contain $\sqrt{0.5 (n+1)}B_2^n.$
We formulate an a-priori stronger conjecture for log-concave measures, extending both the $L_p$-Brunn-Minkowski conjecture and the Dimensional one, and verify it in the case when the sets are dilates and the measure is Gaussian. We also show that the Log-Brunn-Minkowski conjecture, if verified, would yield this more general family of inequalities.
Our results build up on the methods developed by Kolesnikov and Milman as well as Colesanti, Livshyts, Marsiglietti. We furthermore verify that the local version of these conjectures implies the global version in the setting of general measures, and this step uses methods developed recently by Putterman.

We present the novel microscopic n-body dynamical transport approach PHQMD(Parton-Hadron-Quantum-Molecular-Dynamics) for the description of particle production and cluster formation in heavy-ion reactions at relativistic energies. The PHQMD extends the established PHSD (Parton-Hadron-String-Dynamics) transport approach by replacing the mean field by density dependent two body interactions in a similar way as in the Quantum Molecular Dynamics (QMD) models. This allows for the calculation of the time evolution of the n-body Wigner density and therefore for a dynamical description of clusters and hypernuclei formation. The clusters are identified with the MST ('Minimum Spanning Tree') or the SACA ('Simulated Annealing Cluster Algorithm') algorithm which - by regrouping the nucleons in single nucleons and noninteracting clusters - finds the most bound configuration of nucleons and clusters. The selected results on clusters and hypernuclei production from Ref. arXiv:1907.03860 are discussed in this contribution.

Modeling of the process of the formation of nuclear clusters in the hot nuclear matter is a challenging task. We present the novel n-body dynamical transport approach - PHQMD (Parton-Hadron-Quantum-Molecular Dynamics) [1] for the description of heavy-ion collisions as well as clusters and hpernuclei formation. The PHQMD extends well established PHSD (Parton-Hadron-String Dynamics) approach - which incorporates explicit partonic degrees-of-freedom (quarks and gluons), an equation-of-state from lattice QCD, as well as dynamical hadronization and hadronic elastic and inelastic collisions in the final reaction phase, by n-body quantum molecular dynamic propagation of hadrons which allows choosing of the equation of state with different compression modulus. The formation of clusters, including hypernuclei, is realized by incorporation the Simulated Annealing Clusterization Algorithm (SACA). We present first results from PHQMD on the study of the production rates of strange hadrons, nuclear clusters and hypernuclei in e1elementary and heavy-ion collisions at NICA energies. By using the real-space Green-Kubo formalism we study numerically the electron transport properties of low-fluorinated graphene. At low temperatures the diffuse transport regime is expected to be prevalent, and we found a pronounced electron-hole asymmetry in electrical conductivity as a result of quasi-resonant scattering on the localized states. For the finite temperatures in the variable-range hopping transport regime the interpretation of numerical results leads to the appearance of local minima and maxima of the resistance near the energies of the localized states. A comparison with the experimental measurements of the resistance in graphene samples with various fluorination degrees is discussed.

Precise knowledge of hadron production rates in the generation of neutrino beams is necessary for accelerator-based neutrino experiments to achieve their physics goals. NA61/SHINE, a large-acceptance hadron spectrometer, has recorded hadron+nucleus interactions relevant to ongoing and future long-baseline neutrino experiments at Fermi National Accelerator Laboratory. This paper presents three analyses of interactions of 60 GeV/$c$ $π^+$ with thin, fixed carbon and beryllium targets. Integrated production and inelastic cross sections were measured for both of these reactions. In an analysis of strange, neutral hadron production, differential production multiplicities of $K^0_{S}$, $Λ$ and anti-$Λ$ were measured. Lastly, in an analysis of charged hadron production, differential production multiplicities of $π^+$, $π^-$, $K^+$, $K^-$ and protons were measured. These measurements will enable long-baseline neutrino experiments to better constrain predictions of their neutrino flux in order to achieve better precision on their neutrino cross section and oscillation measurements.

Results on $φ$ meson production in inelastic p+p collisions at CERN SPS energies are presented. They are derived from data collected by the NA61/SHINE fixed target experiment, by means of invariant mass spectra fits in the $φ\to K^+K^-$ decay channel. They include the first ever measured double differential spectra of $φ$ mesons as a function of rapidity $y$ and transverse momentum $p_T$ for proton beam momenta of 80 GeV/c and 158 GeV/c, as well as single differential spectra of $y$ or $p_T$ for beam momentum of 40 GeV/c. The corresponding total $φ$ yields per inelastic p+p event are obtained. These results are compared with existing data on $φ$ meson production in p+p collisions. The comparison shows consistency but superior accuracy of the present measurements. The emission of $φ$ mesons in p+p reactions is confronted with that occurring in Pb+Pb collisions, and the experimental results are compared with model predictions. It appears that none of the considered models can properly describe all the experimental observables.

A simple analytical method for study the magnetic properties of the finite-length biatomic chains in the framework of Heisenberg model with uniaxial magnetic anisotropy is proposed. The method allows to estimate the reversal time of the magnetization of ferromagnetic and antiferromagnetic biatomic chains. Three cases are considered: the spontaneous remagnetization, the remagnetization under the interaction with a scanning tunneling microscope, and the remagnetization in the external magnetic field. The applicability limits of the method are discussed. Within its limits of applicability the method gives results which are in perfect agreement with the results of the kinetic Monte Carlo simulations. As the examples, two physical systems are considered: biatomic Fe chains on Cu2N/Cu(001) surface and biatomic Co chains on Pt(997) surface. The presented method is incomparably less time-consuming than the standard kMC simulations, especially in the cases of low temperatures or long chains.

Cluster and hypernuclei production in heavy-ion collisions is presently under active experimental and theoretical investigation. Since clusters are weekly bound objects, their production is very sensitive to the dynamical evolution of the system and its interactions. The theoretical description of cluster formation is related to the n-body problem. Here we present the novel n-body dynamical transport approach PHQMD (Parton-Hadron-Quantum-Molecular Dynamics) which is designed to provide a microscopic description of nuclear cluster and hypernucleus formation as well as of general particle production in heavy-ion reactions at relativistic energies. In difference to the coalescence or statistical models, often used for the cluster formation, in PHQMD clusters are formed dynamically due to the interactions between baryons described on a basis of Quantum Molecular Dynamics (QMD)which allows to propagate the n-body Wigner density and n-body correlations in phase-space, essential for the cluster formation. The clusters are identified by the MST (Minimum Spanning Tree) or the SACA ('Simulated Annealing Cluster Algorithm') algorithm which finds the most bound configuration of nucleons and clusters. Collisions among hadrons as well as Quark-Gluon-Plasma formation and parton dynamics in PHQMD are treated in the same way as in the established PHSD (Parton-Hadron-String Dynamics)transport approach. In order to verify our approach with respect to the general dynamics we present here the first PHQMD results for general 'bulk' observables such as rapidity distributions and transverse mass spectra for hadrons ($π, K, \bar K, p, \bar p, Λ, \bar Λ$) from SIS to RHIC energies. We find a good description of the 'bulk' dynamics which allows us to proceed with the results on cluster production, including hypernuclei.

Surface states of topological insulators (TIs) have been playing the central role in the majority of outstanding investigations in low-dimensional electron systems for more than 10 years. TIs based on high-quality strained HgTe films demonstrate a variety of subtle physical effects. The strain leads to a bulk band gap but limits a maximum HgTe strained film thickness, and therefore, the majority of experiments were performed on films with a thickness of less than 100 nm. Since a spatial separation of topological states is crucial for the study of a single-surface response, it is essential to increase the HgTe thickness further. In this work, by combining transport measurements together with capacitance spectroscopy, we perform an analysis of a 200-nm partially relaxed HgTe film. The Drude fit of the classical magnetotransport reveals the ambipolar electron-hole transport with a high electron mobility. A detailed analysis of Shubnikov-de Haas oscillations in both conductivity and capacitance allows us to distinguish three groups of electrons, identified as electrons on top and bottom surfaces and bulk electrons. The indirect bulk energy gap value is found to be close to zero. It is established that the significant gap decrease does not affect the surface states, which are found to be well resolved and spin nondegenerate. The presented techniques allow investigations of other three-dimensional TIs, regardless of the presence of bulk conductivity.

Measurements of the $π^{\pm}$, $K^{\pm}$, and proton double differential yields emitted from the surface of the 90-cm-long carbon target (T2K replica) were performed for the incoming 31 GeV/c protons with the NA61/SHINE spectrometer at the CERN SPS using data collected during 2010 run. The double differential $π^{\pm}$ yields were measured with increased precision compared to the previously published NA61/SHINE results, while the $K^{\pm}$ and proton yields were obtained for the first time. A strategy for dealing with the dependence of the results on the incoming proton beam profile is proposed. The purpose of these measurements is to reduce significantly the (anti)neutrino flux uncertainty in the T2K long-baseline neutrino experiment by constraining the production of (anti)neutrino ancestors coming from the T2K target.

We study the transportation problem on the unit sphere $S^{n-1}$ for symmetric probability measures and the cost function $c(x,y) = \log \frac{1}{\langle x, y \rangle}$.
We calculate the variation of the corresponding Kantorovich functional $K$ and study a naturally associated metric-measure space on $S^{n-1}$ endowed with a Riemannian
metric generated by the corresponding transportational potential. We introduce a new transportational functional which minimizers are
solutions to the symmetric log-Minkowski problem and prove that $K$ satisfies the following analog of the Gaussian transportation inequality for the uniform probability measure $σ$ on $S^{n-1}$:
$\frac{1}{n} Ent(ν) \ge K(σ, ν)$. It is shown that there exists a remarkable similarity between our results and the theory of the K{ä}hler-Einstein equation on Euclidean space.
As a by-product we obtain a new proof of uniqueness of solution to the log-Minkowski problem for the uniform measure.

Our central result describes a solution $π$ to the following important model case: $n=3, k=2, X_i = [0,1]$, the cost function $c(x,y,z) = xyz$, and the corresponding two--dimensional projections are Lebesgue measures on $[0,1]^2$. We prove, in particular, that the mapping $(x,y) \to x \oplus y$, where $\oplus$ is the bitwise addition (xor- or Nim-addition) on $[0,1] \cong \mathbb{Z}_2^{\infty}$, is the corresponding optimal transportation. In particular, the support of $π$ is the Sierpiński tetrahedron. In addition, we describe a solution to the corresponding dual problem.

Our approach relies on certain stability estimates for the Gaussian log-Sobolev and Talagrand transportation inequalities.

We study a Riemannian manifold equipped with a density which satisfies the Bakry--Émery Curvature-Dimension condition (combining a lower bound on its generalized Ricci curvature and an upper bound on its generalized dimension). We first obtain a Poincaré-type inequality on its boundary assuming that the latter is locally-convex; this generalizes a purely Euclidean inequality of Colesanti, originally derived as an infinitesimal form of the Brunn-Minkowski inequality, thereby precluding any extensions beyond the Euclidean setting. A dual version for generalized mean-convex boundaries is also obtained, yielding spectral-gap estimates for the weighted Laplacian on the boundary. Motivated by these inequalities, a new geometric evolution equation is proposed, which extends to the Riemannian setting the Minkowski addition operation of convex domains, a notion thus far confined to the purely linear setting. This geometric flow is characterized by having parallel normals (of varying velocity) to the evolving hypersurface along the trajectory, and is intimately related to a homogeneous Monge-Ampère equation on the exterior of the convex domain. Using the aforementioned Poincaré-type inequality on the boundary of the evolving hypersurface, we obtain a novel Brunn--Minkowski inequality in the weighted-Riemannian setting, amounting to a certain concavity property for the weighted-volume of the evolving enclosed domain. All of these results appear to be new even in the classical non-weighted Riemannian setting.

The $L^p$-Brunn-Minkowski theory for $p\geq 1$, proposed by Firey and developed by Lutwak in the 90's, replaces the Minkowski addition of convex sets by its $L^p$ counterpart, in which the support functions are added in $L^p$-norm. Recently, Böröczky, Lutwak, Yang and Zhang have proposed to extend this theory further to encompass the range $p \in [0,1)$. In particular, they conjectured an $L^p$-Brunn-Minkowski inequality for origin-symmetric convex bodies in that range, which constitutes a strengthening of the classical Brunn-Minkowski inequality. Our main result confirms this conjecture locally for all (smooth) origin-symmetric convex bodies in $\mathbb{R}^n$ and $p \in [1 - \frac{c}{n^{3/2}},1)$. In addition, we confirm the local log-Brunn--Minkowski conjecture (the case $p=0$) for small-enough $C^2$-perturbations of the unit-ball of $\ell_q^n$ for $q \geq 2$, when the dimension $n$ is sufficiently large, as well as for the cube, which we show is the conjectural extremal case. For unit-balls of $\ell_q^n$ with $q \in [1,2)$, we confirm an analogous result for $p=c \in (0,1)$, a universal constant. It turns out that the local version of these conjectures is equivalent to a minimization problem for a spectral-gap parameter associated with a certain differential operator, introduced by Hilbert (under different normalization) in his proof of the Brunn-Minkowski inequality. As applications, we obtain local uniqueness results in the even $L^p$-Minkowski problem, as well as improved stability estimates in the Brunn-Minkowski and anisotropic isoperimetric inequalities.

Abstract:
Given a convex body $K \subset \mathbb{R}^n$ with the barycenter at the origin we consider the corresponding K{ä}hler-Einstein equation $e^{-Φ} = \det D^2 Φ$. If $K$ is a simplex, then the Ricci tensor of the Hessian metric $D^2 Φ$ is constant and equals $\frac{n-1}{4(n+1)}$. We conjecture that the Ricci tensor of $D^2 Φ$ for arbitrary $K$ is uniformly bounded by $\frac{n-1}{4(n+1)}$ and verify th…

Abstract:
We present measurements of $ρ^0$, $ω$ and K$^{*0}$ spectra in $π^{-} + $C production interactions at 158 GeV/c and $ρ^0$ spectra at 350 GeV/c using the NA61/SHINE spectrometer at the CERN SPS. Spectra are presented as a function of the Feynman's variable $x_\text{F}$ in the range $0 < x_\text{F} < 1$ and $0 < x_\text{F} < 0.5$ for 158 GeV/c and 350 GeV/c respectively. Furthermore, we show comparisons with previous measurements and predictions of several hadronic interaction models. These measurements are essential for a better understanding of hadronic shower development and for improving the modeling of cosmic ray air showers.
