This study is devoted to dilaton generation in propagation of magnetic dipole waves of pulsar in a galactic magnetic field. It is shown that in this process it's necessary to take into account the presence of a reflective index of matter distributed in the galaxy. According to obtained estimates influence of the gravitational field of pulsars and magnetars on radiation of magnetic dipole waves is negligible and tends to a small change of their amplitude, near about 1 per cent. That's why in this study one can neglect the impact of gravitational field on process of dilaton generation.
Exact solution of the dilaton equation is found and angular distribution of dilaton radiation is obtained in propagation of magnetic dipole waves of pulsar in galactic magnetic field.

We develop a theory of anomalous elasticity in disordered two-dimensional flexible materials with orthorhombic crystal symmetry. Similar to the clean case, we predict existence of infinitely many flat phases with anisotropic bending rigidity and Young's modulus showing power-law scaling with momentum controlled by a single universal exponent the very same as in the clean isotropic case. With increase of temperature or disorder these flat phases undergo crumpling transition. Remarkably, in contrast to the isotropic materials where crumpling occurs in all spatial directions simultaneously, the anisotropic materials crumple into tubular phase. In distinction to clean case in which crumpling transition happens at unphysically high temperatures, a disorder-induced tubular crumpled phase can exist even at room-temperature conditions. Our results are applied to anisotropic atomic single layers doped by adatoms or disordered by heavy ions bombarding.

The paper describes methods and presents results of the Troitsk Nu-mass experiment spectrometer cleanup, which inner volume (40 m3) and surfaces (160 m2) was contaminated by 4.4 GBq of tritium. The Troitsk Nu-mass experiment of Institute for Nuclear Research of Russian Academy of Sciences, Moscow, is designed to measure the spectrum of electrons from tritium decays in order to search for hypothetical particles - sterile neutrinos. As a result of equipment failure, the spectrometer internal volume was contaminated with tritium. The contamination made measurements impossible and the research program stopped. The methods of vacuum extraction, hydrogen soaks, and water vapour soaks were used for cleanup. As a result of detritiation, the background level of the main detector of the Troitsk Nu-mass spectrometer decreased by more than 10 times, which made it possible to resume work. The results are consistent with the data obtained earlier for volumes in normal conditions in the air and can be used for planning work on detritiation of similar installations.

Sterile neutrinos emerge in minimal extensions of the Standard Model which can solve a number of open questions in astroparticle physics. For example, sterile neutrinos in the keV-mass range are viable dark matter candidates. Their existence would lead to a kink-like distortion in the tritium $β$-decay spectrum. In this work we report about the instrumentation of the Troitsk nu-mass experiment with a 7-pixel TRISTAN prototype detector and measurements in both differential and integral mode. The combination of the two modes is a key requirement for a precise sterile neutrino search, as both methods are prone to largely different systematic uncertainties. Thanks to the excellent performance of the TRISTAN detector at high rates, a sterile neutrino search up to masses of about 6 keV could be performed, which enlarges the previous accessible mass range by a factor of 3. Upper limits on the neutrino mixing amplitude in the mass range < 5.6 keV (differential) and < 6.6 keV (integral) are presented. These results demonstrate the feasibility of a sterile neutrino search as planned in the upgrade of the KATRIN experiment with the final TRISTAN detector and read-out system.

The integral spectrum of scattered electrons was measured by the electrostatic spectrometer with a magnetic adiabatic collimation and relative energy resolution 8.3 10^{-5}. As a result, the shapes of molecular excitation and ionization spectra were extracted for both isotopes. We did not find any difference between hydrogen and deuterium targets. The relative energy dependence was extracted too.

The expected signature corresponds to a kink in the electron energy spectrum in tritium beta-decay. The new goal compared to our previous experiment will be precision spectrum measurements well below end point. The experimental installation consists of a windowless gaseous tritium source and a high resolution electromagnetic spectrometer. We estimate that the current bounds on the sterile neutrino mixing parameter can be improved by an order of magnitude in the mass range under 5 keV without major upgrade of the existing equipment. Upgrades of calibration, data acquisition and high voltage systems will allow to improve the bounds by another order of magnitude.

The possibility of coalescence of the PBHB's in Galaxy's halo to be a source at least of a part of gamma-ray bursts (GRB) observed is discussed. The energy flux of gravitational radiation from those GRB's should exceed the energy flux of gamma-radiation by 7-8 orders of magnitude. The possibility of observation of PBHB through detection of the gravitational radiation burst coincident with GRB is emphasized. The PBHB also can be observed detecting a stationary gravitatonal radiation in the frequency range > 10^4 Hz and observing a high-frequent pulsation of a source's brightness in microlensing effects in the Galaxy's halo.

Experimental signature of electrically neutral Q-balls is, in fact, the same as is expected for superheavy magnetic monopoles catalyzing baryon decay. Here we use the upper limits on monopole flux obtained with deep underwater Cherenkov array "Gyrlyanda" which operated in the Baikal lake in 1984-90 with 267 days of live time to obtain the limit on Q-ball flux.
