We are developing position sensitive silicon detectors (PSDs) which have an electrode at each of four corners so that incident position of a charged particle can be obtained with signal from the electrodes. It is expected that the position resolution of the electromagnetic calorimeter (ECAL) of the ILD detector will be improved by introducing PSDs to detection layers. We have been developing the PSDs for several years. In the previous production we found that the charge separation is not optimally done due to the readout impedance. To solve the issue, we produced new PSDs with higher surface resistance with an additional resistive layer on the surface. We also implemented several techniques to decrease position distortion and increase signal-to-noise ratio which are essential for the optimal position resolution. The measurements on the prototype sensors are ongoing, including radiation source measurement and laser measurement using an ASIC for silicon pad detectors.

Since its introduction, television has been the main channel of investment for advertisements in order to influence customers purchase behavior. Many have attributed the mere exposure effect as the source of influence in purchase intention and purchase decision; however, most of the studies of television advertisement effects are not only outdated, but their sample size is questionable and their environments do not reflect reality. With the advent of the internet, social media and new information technologies, many recent studies focus on the effects of online advertisement, meanwhile, the investment in television advertisement still has not declined. In response to this, we applied machine learning algorithms SVM and XGBoost, as well as Logistic Regression, to construct a number of prediction models based on at-home advertisement exposure time and demographic data, examining the predictability of Actual Purchase and Purchase Intention behaviors of 3000 customers across 36 different products during the span of 3 months. If models based on exposure time had unreliable predictability in contrast to models based on demographic data, doubts would surface about the effectiveness of the hard investment in television advertising. Based on our results, we found that models based on advert exposure time were consistently low in their predictability in comparison with models based on demographic data only, and with models based on both demographic data and exposure time data. We also found that there was not a statistically significant difference between these last two kinds of models. This suggests that advert exposure time has little to no effect in the short-term in increasing positive actual purchase behavior.

Fermion pair production events are sensitive to new interactions involving a new heavy gauge boson or an electroweak interacting massive particle (EWIMP).We studied the mass reach of new particles at the ILC with $\sqrt{s}=250$ GeV by using $e^+ e^-\to e^+ e^-$and $e^+ e^-\to μ^+ μ^-$ events. We show that a mass reach for BSM particles can be determined with 90% confidence level using a toy Monte Carlo technique.

The prototype features detector elements with a channel number similar to that envisaged for e.g. the ILD Detector of the International Linear Collider (ILC). The analysis demonstrates the capability of the detector to record signals as low as 0.5 MIP. Further, no loss of performance has been observed when operating the detector in a high magnetic field.

The response of the system to pions with momenta between 4 GeV/c and 32 GeV/c is analysed, including the energy response, resolution, and longitudinal shower profiles. The results of a software compensation technique based on weighting according to hit energy are compared to those of a standard linear energy reconstruction. The results are compared to predictions of the GEANT4 physics lists QGSP_BERT_HP and FTFP_BERT_HP.

Fermion pair productions are sensitive to a new contact interaction or a new heavy gauge boson by comparing cross section and angular distribution with expectations of the new physics models. In this proceedings we report a simulation study of fermion pair productions at a center-of-mass energy of 250 GeV, with a focus on lepton pairs, to demonstrate the potential of the first phase of the ILC.

This prototype was tested using electrons of 2--32 GeV at the Fermilab Test Beam Facility in 2009. Deviations from linear energy response were less than 1.1\%, and the intrinsic energy resolution was determined to be $(12.5 \pm 0.1 (\mathrm{stat.}) \pm0.4 (\mathrm{syst.}))\%/\sqrt{E[\mathrm{GeV}]}\oplus (1.2 \pm 0.1(\mathrm{stat.})^{+0.6}_{-0.7}(\mathrm{syst.}))\%$, where the uncertainties correspond to statistical and systematic sources, respectively.

We are developing position sensitive silicon detectors (PSD) which have an electrode at each of four corners so that the incident position of a charged particle can be obtained using signals from the electrodes. It is expected that the position resolution the electromagnetic calorimeter (ECAL) of the ILD detector will be improved by introducing PSD into the detection layers. In this study, we irradiated collimated laser beams to the surface of the PSD, varying the incident position. We found that the incident position can be well reconstructed from the signals if high resistance is implemented in the p+ layer. We also tried to observe the signal of particles by placing a radiative source on the PSD sensor.
