Exploring orbital angular momentum and spin-orbit correlation for gluons at the Electron-Ion Collider
Abstract: In our previous work [Phys. Rev. Lett. 128, 182002 (2022)], we introduced a pioneering observable aimed at experimentally detecting the orbital angular momentum (OAM) of gluons. Our focus was on the longitudinal double spin asymmetry observed in exclusive dijet production during electron-proton scattering. We demonstrated the sensitivity of the $\cos
φ $ angular correlation between the scattered el… ▽ MoreSubmitted 5 April, 2024; originally announced April 2024.

Snowmass 2021 White Paper: Electron Ion Collider for High Energy Physics
Abstract: Electron Ion Collider (EIC) is a particle accelerator facility planned for construction at Brookhaven National Laboratory on Long Island, New York by the United States Department of Energy. EIC will provide capabilities of colliding beams of polarized electrons with polarized beams of proton and light ions. EIC will be one of the largest and most sophisticated new accelerator facilities worldwide,… ▽ More

Signature of the gluon orbital angular momentum
Abstract: We propose a novel observable for the experimental detection of the gluon orbital angular momentum (OAM) that constitutes the proton spin sum rule. We consider longitudinal double spin asymmetry in exclusive dijet production in electron-proton scattering and demonstrate that the $\cos
φ $ azimuthal angle correlation between the scattered electron and proton is a sensitive probe of the gluon OAM at… ▽ MoreSubmitted 4 April, 2022; v1 submitted 21 January, 2022; originally announced January 2022.

Probing the Sivers function with an unpolarized target: GTMD distributions and the Odderons
Abstract: It is commonly believed that the Sivers function has uniquely to do with processes involving a transversely polarized nucleon. In this paper we show that it is not necessarily the case. We demonstrate that exclusive pion production in $un$polarized electron-proton scattering in the forward region is a direct probe of the gluon Sivers function due to its connection to the QCD Odderon.

QCD resummation effects in forward $J/
ψ $ and very backward jet inclusive production at the LHCAbstract: We propose and study the inclusive production of a forward $J/
ψ $ and a very backward jet at the LHC as an observable to reveal high-energy resummation effects à la BFKL. Our different predictions are based on the various existing mechanisms to describe the production of the $J/ψ $, namely, NRQCD singlet and octet contributions, and the color evaporation model.Submitted 8 September, 2017; originally announced September 2017.

Exploring GPDs through the photoproduction of a $
γ ρ $ pairAbstract: We describe the process $
γ N \toγ \,ρ N'$ in the generalized Bjorken regime where the $γ \,ρ $ pair has a large invariant mass. In the collinear QCD factorization framework, the amplitude gives access to both chiral-even and chiral-odd quark generalized parton distributions (GPDs), and is insensitive to gluon GPDs. The separation of longitudinally and transversely polarized $ρ $ meson production allows… ▽ MoreSubmitted 30 August, 2017; originally announced August 2017.

LHC Forward Physics
Abstract: The goal of this report is to give a comprehensive overview of the rich field of forward physics, with a special attention to the topics that can be studied at the LHC. The report starts presenting a selection of the Monte Carlo simulation tools currently available, chapter 2, then enters the rich phenomenology of QCD at low, chapter 3, and high, chapter 4, momentum transfer, while the unique scat… ▽ More
