Isolated photon production in association with a jet pair through next-to-next-to-leading order in QCD
Abstract: In this work, we provide a comprehensive set of differential cross-section distributions for photon + di-jet production in proton-proton collisions with next-to-next-to-leading order precision in massless QCD. The event selection corresponds to recent measurements by the ATLAS collaboration. We observe an improved description of data in comparison to lower-order calculations in the case of observa… ▽ More

HighTEA: High energy Theory Event Analyser
Abstract: We introduce HighTEA, a new paradigm for deploying fully-differential next-to-next-to leading order (NNLO) calculations for collider observables. In principle, any infrared safe observable can be computed and, with very few restrictions, the user has complete freedom in defining their calculation's setup. For example, one can compute generic n-dimensional distributions, can define kinematic variab… ▽ More

NNLO QCD corrections to event shapes at the LHC
Abstract: In this work we perform the first ever calculation of jet event shapes at hadron colliders at next-to-next-to leading order (NNLO) in QCD. The inclusion of higher order corrections removes the shape difference observed between data and next-to-leading order predictions. The theory uncertainty at NNLO is comparable to, or slightly larger than, existing measurements. Except for narrow kinematical ra… ▽ More

A detailed investigation of W+c-jet at the LHC
Abstract: State-of-the-art analyses of W+c-jet production at the LHC require precise predictions. In the present work, we study in detail the impact of off-diagonal CKM elements up to next-to-next-to leading order in QCD, the influence of flavored jet algorithms, and the size of electroweak corrections. Infrared-safe flavoured anti-$k_T$ jets
Abstract: Flavour tagging is technically challenging on the experimental side. However, it suffers from a more fundamental problem from the theoretical point of view, in particular when implemented in fixed-order perturbation theory. NNLO corrections to top-pair production at hadron colliders: the all-fermionic scattering channels
Abstract: This is a second paper in our ongoing calculation of the next-to-next-to-leading order (NNLO) QCD correction to the total inclusive top-pair production cross-section at hadron colliders. In this paper we calculate the reaction $q\bar q \to t\bar t + q\bar q$ which was not considered in our previous work on $q\bar q \to t\bar t +X$ due to its phenomenologically negligible size. We also calculate al… ▽ More

Percent level precision physics at the Tevatron: first genuine NNLO QCD corrections to q qbar -> t tbar + X
Abstract: We compute the Next-to-Next-to-Leading Order (NNLO) QCD corrections to the partonic reaction that dominates top-pair production at the Tevatron. This is the first ever NNLO calculation of an observable with more than two colored partons, and/or massive fermions, at hadron colliders. Augmenting our fixed order calculation with soft-gluon resummation through Next-to-Next-to-Leading Logarithmic (NNLL… ▽ More

Top++: a program for the calculation of the top-pair cross-section at hadron colliders
Abstract: We present the program Top++ for the numerical evaluation of the total inclusive cross-section for producing top quark pairs at hadron colliders. The program calculates the cross-section in a) fixed order approach with exact next-to-next-to leading order (NNLO) accuracy and b) by including soft-gluon resummation for the hadronic cross-section in Mellin space with full next-to-next-to-leading logar… ▽ More

Helac-nlo
Abstract: Based on the OPP technique and the HELAC framework, HELAC-1LOOP is a program that is capable of numerically evaluating QCD virtual corrections to scattering amplitudes. A detailed presentation of the algorithm is given, along with instructions to run the code and benchmark results. The program is part of the HELAC-NLO framework that allows for a complete evaluation of QCD NLO corrections.

Hadronic top-quark pair production in association with two jets at Next-to-Leading Order QCD
Abstract: We report on the calculation of the next-to-leading order QCD corrections to the production of ttbar pairs in association with two hard jets at the Fermilab TeVatron and CERN Large Hadron Collider. Results for the integrated and differential cross sections are given. The corrections with respect to leading order are negative and moderate. A study of the scale dependence of our NLO predictions indi… ▽ More

Complete off-shell effects in top quark pair hadroproduction with leptonic decay at next-to-leading order
Abstract: Results for next-to-leading order QCD corrections to the pp(p\bar{p}) -> t \bar{t} -> W^+W^- b\bar{b} -> e^{+}
ν _{e}μ ^{-} \barν _μ b \bar{b} +X processes with complete off-shell effects are presented for the first time. Double-, single- and non-resonant top contributions of the order {\cal{O}}(α _{s}^3α ^4) are consistently taken into account, which requires the introduction of a complex-mass schem… ▽ MoreSubmitted 18 February, 2011; v1 submitted 19 December, 2010; originally announced December 2010.

Quest for precision in hadronic cross sections at low energy: Monte Carlo tools vs. experimental data
Abstract: We present the achievements of the last years of the experimental and theoretical groups working on hadronic cross section measurements at the low energy e+e- colliders in Beijing, Frascati, Ithaca, Novosibirsk, Stanford and Tsukuba and on tau decays. We sketch the prospects in these fields for the years to come. We emphasise the status and the precision of the Monte Carlo generators used to ana… ▽ More

Spectrum of neutrino masses and their nature in the light of present and future experiments
Abstract: The present experimental data on neutrino oscillations, neutrinoless double beta decay and tritium beta decay are collected together and possible mass ranges for Dirac and Majorana neutrinos are found. Four future experimental situations are investigated: both decay experiments give only upper bounds, one of them gives a positive result ($|< m_
ν > | \neq 0$ or $m_β \neq 0$), or finally both effect… ▽ MoreSubmitted 3 July, 2000; v1 submitted 29 June, 2000; originally announced June 2000.
