Exclusive photoproduction of a photon-meson pair: A new class of observables to probe GPDs
Abstract: We discuss the exclusive photoproduction of a photon-meson pair with large $ p_{T} $ as a channel to probe generalised parton distributions (GPDs). Like other $ 2\to3 $ exclusive processes, this channel allows us to better study the $ x $-dependence of GPDs, in contrast to $ 2\to2 $ processes such as Deeply Virtual Compton Scattering (DVCS) which give only "moment-type" information. Moreover, it a… ▽ More

Diffractive single hadron production in a saturation framework at the NLO

New opportunities at the photon energy frontier
Abstract: Ultra-peripheral collisions (UPCs) involving heavy ions and protons are the energy frontier for photon-mediated interactions. UPC photons can be used for many purposes, including probing low-$x$ gluons via photoproduction of dijets and vector mesons, probes of beyond-standard-model processes, such as those enabled by light-by-light scattering, and studies of two-photon production of the Higgs.

Probing the Sivers function with an unpolarized target: GTMD distributions and the Odderons
Abstract: It is commonly believed that the Sivers function has uniquely to do with processes involving a transversely polarized nucleon. In this paper we show that it is not necessarily the case. We demonstrate that exclusive pion production in $un$polarized electron-proton scattering in the forward region is a direct probe of the gluon Sivers function due to its connection to the QCD Odderon.

Mueller Navelet jets at LHC: a clean test of QCD resummation effects at high energy?
Abstract: Mueller Navelet jets were proposed more than 25 years ago as a decisive test of BFKL dynamics at hadron colliders. We here present a complete next-to-leading BFKL study of the azimuthal decorrelation of these jets. This includes both next-to-leading corrections to the Green's function and next-to-leading corrections to the jet vertices. We compare our results with recent data taken at the LHC and… ▽ More

A model for high energy rho meson leptoproduction based on collinear factorization and dipole models
Abstract: We present a phenomenological model for the helicity amplitudes T11 and T00 of the rho meson exclusive diffractive leptoproduction in the forward limit. This model leads to a very good description of the polarized cross-sections sigmaT and sigmaL when compared to HERA data. This model is based on the impact factor representation of the helicity amplitudes. The gamma* -> rho impact factor is comput… ▽ More

SuperB Technical Design Report
Abstract: In this Technical Design Report (TDR) we describe the SuperB detector that was to be installed on the SuperB e+e- high luminosity collider. The SuperB asymmetric collider, which was to be constructed on the Tor Vergata campus near the INFN Frascati National Laboratory, was designed to operate both at the Upsilon(4S) center-of-mass energy with a luminosity of 10^{36} cm^{-2}s^{-1} and at the tau/ch… ▽ More

Confronting Mueller-Navelet jets in NLL BFKL with LHC experiments at 7 TeV
Abstract: More than 25 years ago, Mueller Navelet jets were proposed as a decisive test of BFKL dynamics at hadron colliders. We here study this process at NLL BFKL accuracy, taking into account NLL corrections to the Green's function and to the jet vertices. We present detailed predictions for various observables that can be measured at LHC in ongoing experiments like ATLAS or CMS at sqrt{s}=7 TeV: the cro… ▽ More

Saturation effects in exclusive rhoT, rhoL meson electroproduction
Abstract: We use recent results for the gamma*L -> rhoL and gamma*T -> rhoT impact factors, computed in the impact parameter representation within the collinear factorization scheme, to get predictions for the polarized cross-sections sigmaT and sigmaL of the diffractive leptoproduction of the rho meson at high energy. In this approach the helicity amplitude is a convolution of the scattering amplitude of a… ▽ More

On the Relation of the LHeC and the LHC
Abstract: The present note relies on the recently published conceptual design report of the LHeC and extends the first contribution to the European strategy debate in emphasising the role of the LHeC to complement and complete the high luminosity LHC programme. The brief discussion therefore focuses on the importance of high precision PDF and $

A Large Hadron Electron Collider at CERN
Abstract: This document provides a brief overview of the recently published report on the design of the Large Hadron Electron Collider (LHeC), which comprises its physics programme, accelerator physics, technology and main detector concepts. The LHeC exploits and develops challenging, though principally existing, accelerator and detector technologies. This summary is complemented by brief illustrations of s… ▽ More

Theory and phenomenology of helicity amplitudes for high energy exclusive leptoproduction of the rho-meson
Abstract: We review here two approaches to describe hard leptoproduction of transversally polarized rho-meson, based on recent calculation of the gamma*T -> rhoT impact factor up to twist 3 accuracy in the collinear factorization frame, including 2- and 3- particles Fock-states. The first approach uses a model of the unintegrated gluon density (the proton impact factor) which allows a comparison of our pred… ▽ More

High Energy exclusive Leptoproduction of the rho-meson: Theory and Phenomenology
Abstract: We describe the hard leptoproduction of transversally polarized rho-meson, up to twist 3 accuracy, including 2- and 3- particles Fock-states, in the HERA kinematics of high center-of-mass energy. We first build a model based on a simple approach to the unintegrated gluon density (the parton impact factor) that we compare with H1 and ZEUS data for the ratios of helicity amplitudes T(gamma*T -> rhoT… ▽ More

Soft-collinear resummation in deeply virtual Compton scattering
Abstract: We derive an all order resummation formula for the deeply virtual Compton scattering (DVCS) amplitude, which takes into account soft gluon exchanges in the non-singlet quark coefficient function. We identify the ladder diagrams responsible in light-like gauge for [alphaS log^2 (x +/- xi)]^n contributions. The resummed series results in a simple closed expression.

A Large Hadron Electron Collider at CERN: Report on the Physics and Design Concepts for Machine and Detector
Abstract: The physics programme and the design are described of a new collider for particle and nuclear physics, the Large Hadron Electron Collider (LHeC), in which a newly built electron beam of 60 GeV, up to possibly 140 GeV, energy collides with the intense hadron beams of the LHC.
