Quasi-normal modes and absorption probabilities of spin-3/2 fields in $D$-dimensional Reissner-Nordström black hole spacetimes
Abstract: In this paper we consider spin-3/2 fields in a $D$-dimensional Reissner-Nordström black hole spacetime. As these spacetimes are not Ricci-flat, it is necessary to modify the covariant derivative to the supercovariant derivative, by including terms related to the background electromagnetic fields, so as to maintain the gauge symmetry. Using this supercovariant derivative we arrive at the correspond… ▽ More

Higgs Working Group Report of the Snowmass 2013 Community Planning Study
Abstract: This report summarizes the work of the Energy Frontier Higgs Boson working group of the 2013 Community Summer Study (Snowmass). We identify the key elements of a precision Higgs physics program and document the physics potential of future experimental facilities as elucidated during the Snowmass study. We study Higgs couplings to gauge boson and fermion pairs, double Higgs production for the Higgs… ▽ More

A Supersymmetric Flipped SU(5) Intersecting Brane World
Abstract: We construct an N=1 supersymmetric three-family flipped SU(5) model from type IIA orientifolds on $T^6/(\Z_2\times \Z_2)$ with D6-branes intersecting at general angles. The spectrum contains a complete grand unified and electroweak Higgs sector. In addition, it contains extra exotic matter both in bi-fundamental and vector-like representations as well as two copies of matter in the symmetric rep… ▽ More

Addendum/Erratum for `Searching for Invisible and Almost Invisible Particles at $\bf e^+e^-$ Colliders' [hep-ph/9512230] and `A Non-Standard String/SUSY Scenario and its Phenomenological Implications' [hep-ph/9607421]
Abstract: We correct our treatment of decays of the lightest chargino to final states containing the lightest neutralino in the case where the chargino and neutralino masses differ by less than 1 GeV. A brief summary of the phenomenological implications is given.

Probing Gauge-Mediated Supersymmetry Breaking Models at the Tevatron via Delayed Decays of the Lightest Neutralino
Abstract: We quantitatively explore, in the context of the D0 detector at the Tevatron, three very different techniques for observing delayed decays of the lightest neutralino of a simple gauge-mediated supersymmetry breaking (GMSB) model to photon plus gravitino. It is demonstrated that the delayed-decay signals considered can greatly increase the region of general GMSB parameter space for which supersym… ▽ More

Maximizing Hadron Collider Sensitivity to Gauge-Mediated Supersymmetry Breaking Models
Abstract: We consider typical hadron collider detector signals sensitive to delayed decays of the lightest neutralino to photon plus goldstino and demonstrate the potential for substantially increasing the portion of the general parameter space of a gauge-mediated supersymmetry breaking model that can be probed at the Tevatron.

A Non-Standard String/SUSY Scenario and its Phenomenological Implications
Abstract: We investigate the phenomenology of an orbifold string model in which supersymmetry breaking is dominated by the overall `size' modulus field and all matter fields are in the untwisted sector. The possibly close degeneracy of the lightest neutralino and chargino and the possibly small splitting between the gluino and chargino/LSP mass imply that discovery of supersymmetry at future colliders cou… ▽ More

Searching for Invisible and Almost Invisible Particles at e^+e^- Colliders
Abstract: We explore the techniques, cross sections and expected signal significance for detecting invisible and almost invisible particles at LEP2 and the NLC by means of a hard photon tag. Examples from supersymmetry include the lightest chargino and second lightest neutralino when their masses are nearly the same as that of the lightest neutralino (the LSP), and invisibly decaying sneutrinos. The impor… ▽ More
