Recent experimental results on muon anomalous magnetic dipole moment have shown a $4.2σ$ tension with the SM prediction, which has blown a fresh wind into the elementary particle physics community. The problem is believed to be explained only by physics beyond the standard model. Current work considers the anomalous moment in a scenario of models with mirror symmetry and type I see-saw mechanism at low energy scale of electroweak interactions. After a brief introduction to the model, a detailed numerical analysis of muon anomalous phenomenology will be carefully performed. Analysis results show that the model is not successful in explaining the muon moment problem, however the contributions of channels involving neutral Higgs scalars, including both the light and heavy ones, might provide sizable corrections to the discrepancy.

We study in this research the phenomenology of $μ\to eγ$ decay in a scenario of the class of extended models with non-sterile right-handed (RH) neutrino at electroweak (EW) scale proposed by P.Q. Hung. Field content of the standard model (SM) is enlarged by introducing for each SM fermion a corresponding mirror partner with the same quantum numbers beside opposite chirality. Light neutrino masses are generated via the type-I see-saw mechanism and it is also proved to be relevant with low energy within the EW scale of the RH neutrino masses. We introduce the model and derive branching ratio of the $μ\to eγ$ decay at one-loop approximation with the participation of W gauge boson, neutral and singly charged Higgs scalars. After that we set constraints on relevant parameters and predict the sensitivities of the decay channel under the present and future experiments.

A neutrino mass model is suggested within an $SU(4)\times U(1)$ -- electroweak theory. The smallness of neutrino masses can be guaranteed by a seesaw mechanism realized through Yukawa couplings to a scalar $SU(4)$-decuplet. In this scheme the light active neutrinos are accompanied by heavy neutrinos, which may have masses at different scales, including those within eV-MeV scales investigated quite intensively in both particle physics and astrophysics/cosmology. The flavour neutrinos are superpositions of light neutrinos and a small fraction of heavy neutrinos with the mixing to be determined by the model's parameters (Yukawa coupling coefficients or symmetry breaking scales). The distribution shape of the Yukawa couplings can be visualized via a model-independent distribution of the neutrino mass matrix elements derived by using the current experimental data. With reference to several current and near future experiments, detectable bounds of these heavy neutrinos at different mass scales are discussed and estimated.

The flipped 3-3-1 model discriminates lepton families instead of the quark ones in normal sense, where the left-handed leptons are in two triplets plus one sextet while the left-handed quarks are in antitriplets, under $SU(3)_L$. We investigate a minimal setup of this model and determine novel consequences of dark matter stability, neutrino mass generation, and lepton flavor violation. Indeed, the model conserves a noncommutative $B-L$ symmetry, which prevents the unwanted vacua and interactions and provides the matter parity and dark matter candidates that along with normal matter form gauge multiplets. The neutrinos obtain suitable masses via a type I and II seesaw mechanism. The nonuniversal couplings of $Z'$ with leptons govern lepton flavor violating processes such as $μ\rightarrow 3e$, $μ\rightarrow e \barν_μν_e$, $μ$-$e$ conversion in nuclei, semileptonic $τ\rightarrow μ(e)$ decays, as well as the nonstandard interactions of neutrinos with matter. This $Z'$ may also set the dark matter observables and give rise to the LHC dilepton and dijet signals.

The flipped trinification, a framework for unifying the 3-3-1 and left-right symmetries, has recently been proposed in order to solve profound questions, the weak parity violation and the number of families, besides the implication for neutrino mass generation and dark matter stability. In this work, we argue that this gauge-completion naturally provides flavor-changing neutral currents in both quark and lepton sectors. The quark flavor changing happens at the tree-level due to the nonuniversal couplings of $Z'_{L,R}$, while the lepton flavor changing $l\rightarrow l'γ$ starts from the one loop level contributed significantly by the new charged currents of $Y_{L,R}$, which couple ordinary to exotic leptons. These effects disappear in the minimal left-right model, but are present in the framework characterizing a flipped trinification symmetry.

Among the three distinct versions of MLFV, the one with degenerate right-handed neutrinos will be disfavoured, if this indication is confirmed. The predictions for leptonic radiative rare decays and muon conversion in nuclei are analysed, identifying strategies to disentangle the different MLFV scenarios. The claim that the present anomalies in the semi-leptonic $B$-meson decays can be explained within the MLFV context is critically re-examined concluding that such an explanation is not compatible with the present bounds from purely leptonic processes.

A see-saw scenario for an $A_4$ flavour symmetric standard model is presented. The latter, compared with the standard model, has an extended field content adopting now an additional $A_4$ symmetry structure (along with the standard model symmetry). As before, the see-saw mechanism can be realized in several models of different types depending on different ways of neutrino mass generation corresponding to the introduction of new (heavy in general) fields with different symmetry structures. In the present paper, a general description of all these see-saw types is made with a more detailed investigation on type-I models, while for type-II and type-III models a similar strategy can be followed. As within the original see-saw mechanism, the symmetry structure of the standard model fields decides the number and the symmetry structure of the new fields. In a model considered here, the scalar sector consists of three standard-model-Higgs-like iso-doublets ($SU_L(2)$-doublets) forming together an $A_4$-triplet, and three iso-singlets transforming as three singlets (1,$1^{'}$ and $1^{''}$) of $A_4$. In the lepton sector, the three left-handed lepton iso-doublets form an $A_4$-triplet, while the three right-handed charged leptons are either $A_4$-singlets in one version of the model, or components of an $A_4$-triplet in another version. To generate neutrino masses through, say, the type-I see-saw mechanism, it is natural to add four right-handed neutrino multiplets, including one $A_4$-triplet and three $A_4$-singlets. For an interpretation, the model is applied to deriving some physics quantities such as neutrinoless double beta decay effective mass $|\langle m_{ee}\rangle|$, CP violation phase $δ_{CP}$ and Jarlskog parameter $J_{CP}$, which can be verified experimentally.

We analyse the possibility to test the hypothesis of existence of neutrinos with masses at the eV scale coupled to the electron in the weak charged lepton current in an RENP experiment. The presence of eV scale neutrinos in the neutrino mixing is associated with the existence of sterile neutrinos which mix with the active flavour neutrinos. At present there are a number of hints for active-sterile neutrino oscillations driven by $Δm^2 \sim 1~{\rm eV^2}$. We perform a detailed analysis of the RENP phenomenology within the "3 + 1" scheme with one sterile neutrino.

The process of collective de-excitation of atoms in a metastable level into emission mode of a single photon plus a neutrino pair, called radiative emission of neutrino pair (RENP), is sensitive to the absolute neutrino mass scale, to the neutrino mass hierarchy and to the nature (Dirac or Majorana) of massive neutrinos. We investigate how the indicated neutrino mass and mixing observables can be determined from the measurement of the corresponding continuous photon spectrum taking the example of a transition between specific levels of the Yb atom. The possibility of determining the nature of massive neutrinos and, if neutrinos are Majorana fermions, of obtaining information about the Majorana phases in the neutrino mixing matrix, is analyzed in the cases of normal hierarchical, inverted hierarchical and quasi-degenerate types of neutrino mass spectrum. We find, in particular, that the sensitivity to the nature of massive neutrinos depends critically on the atomic level energy difference relevant in the RENP.

We perform a detailed analysis of lepton flavour violation (LFV) within minimal see-saw type extensions of the Standard Model (SM), which give a viable mechanism of neutrino mass generation and provide new particle content at the electroweak scale. We focus, mainly, on predictions and constraints set on each scenario from mu --> e gamma, mu --> 3e and mu - e conversion in the nuclei. In this class of models, the flavour structure of the Yukawa couplings between the additional scalar and fermion representations and the SM leptons is highly constrained by neutrino oscillation measurements. In particular, we show that in some regions of the parameters space of type I and type II see-saw models, the Dirac and Majorana phases of the neutrino mixing matrix, the ordering and hierarchy of the active neutrino mass spectrum as well as the value of the reactor mixing angle theta_{13} may considerably affect the size of the LFV observables. The interplay of the latter clearly allows to discriminate among the different low energy see-saw possibilities.
