Identities amongst the Two Loop Partial Amplitudes of Yang-Mills theory
Abstract: We characterise possible identities among the two-loop partial amplitudes of gluon scattering in Yang-Mills theory. We use known amplitudes in an exhaustive search to identify potential new relations. We find two candidate relations which may extend to all-$n$ amplitudes.

An $n$-point QCD two-loop amplitude
Abstract: We present an explicit expression for a particular $n$-gluon two loop scattering partial amplitude. Specifically we present an analytic form for the single trace $N_c$ independent colour partial amplitude for the case where all external gluons have positive helicity.

Color Dressed Unitarity and Recursion for Yang-Mills Two-Loop All-Plus Amplitudes
Abstract: We present a direct computation of the full color two-loop five-point all-plus Yang-Mills amplitude using four dimensional unitarity and recursion. We present the $SU(N_c)$ amplitudes in compact analytic forms. Our results match the explicit expressions previously computed but do not require full two-loop integral methods.

The Unitarity Method using a Canonical Basis Approach
Abstract: Various implementations of the Unitarity method have been developed to compute one-loop amplitudes in gauge theories. In this paper we present an implementation which uses canonical forms to generate the rational coefficients of the basis integral functions. As an example, we present the results for the N=1 contribution to seven gluon scattering in closed, rational, analytic form.

Analytic Structure of Three-Mass Triangle Coefficients
Abstract: ``Three-mass triangles'' are a class of integral functions appearing in one-loop gauge theory amplitudes. We discuss how the complex analytic properties and singularity structures of these amplitudes can be combined with generalised unitarity techniques to produce compact expressions for three-mass triangle coefficients. We present formulae for the N=1 contributions to the n-point NMHV amplitude… ▽ More

Recursive Calculation of One-Loop QCD Integral Coefficients
Abstract: We present a new procedure using on-shell recursion to determine coefficients of integral functions appearing in one-loop scattering amplitudes of gauge theories, including QCD. With this procedure, coefficients of integrals, including bubbles and triangles, can be determined without resorting to integration. We give criteria for avoiding spurious singularities and boundary terms that would inva… ▽ More

On Perturbative Gravity and Gauge Theory
Abstract: We review some applications of tree-level (classical) relations between gravity and gauge theory that follow from string theory. Together with $D$-dimensional unitarity, these relations can be used to perturbatively quantize gravity theories, i.e. they contain the necessary information for obtaining loop contributions. We also review recent applications of these ideas showing that N=1 D=11 super… ▽ More

On the Relationship between Yang-Mills Theory and Gravity and its Implication for Ultraviolet Divergences
Abstract: String theory implies that field theories containing gravity are in a certain sense `products' of gauge theories. We make this product structure explicit up to two loops for the relatively simple case of N=8 supergravity four-point amplitudes, demonstrating that they are `squares' of N=4 super-Yang-Mills amplitudes. This is accomplished by obtaining an explicit expression for the $D$-dimensional… ▽ More

One-Loop Self-Dual and N=4 Super Yang-Mills
Abstract: We conjecture a simple relationship between the one-loop maximally helicity violating gluon amplitudes of ordinary QCD (all helicities identical) and those of N=4 supersymmetric Yang-Mills (all but two helicities identical). Because the amplitudes in self-dual Yang Mills have been shown to be the same as the maximally helicity violating ones in QCD, this conjecture implies that they are also rel… ▽ More

Fusing Gauge Theory Tree Amplitudes Into Loop Amplitudes
Abstract: We identify a large class of one-loop amplitudes for massless particles that can be constructed via unitarity from tree amplitudes, without any ambiguities. One-loop amplitudes for massless supersymmetric gauge theories fall into this class; in addition, many non-supersymmetric amplitudes can be rearranged to take advantage of the result. As applications, we construct the one-loop amplitudes for… ▽ More

One-Loop n-Point Gauge Theory Amplitudes, Unitarity and Collinear Limits

String-Based Methods in Perturbative Gravity
Abstract: String theory implies a relatively modest growth in computational complexity for perturbative gravity calculations as compared to gauge theory calculations, contrary to field theory expectations. An explicit string-based calculation, which would be extremely difficult using conventional techniques, is presented to illustrate this.
