Workshop summary -- Kaons@CERN 2023
Abstract: Kaon physics is at a turning point -- while the rare-kaon experiments NA62 and KOTO are in full swing, the end of their lifetime is approaching and the future experimental landscape needs to be defined. With HIKE, KOTO-II and LHCb-Phase-II on the table and under scrutiny, it is a very good moment in time to take stock and contemplate about the opportunities these experiments and theoretical develo… ▽ More

First branching fraction measurement of the suppressed decay $
Ξ _c^0\toπ ^-Λ _c^+$Abstract: The $
Ξ _c^0$ baryon is unstable and usually decays into charmless final states by the $c \to s u\overline{d}$ transition. It can, however, also disintegrate into a $π ^-$ meson and a $Λ _c^+$ baryon via $s$ quark decay or via $cs\to d c$ weak scattering. The interplay between the latter two processes governs the size of the branching fraction ${\cal{B}}$$(Ξ _c^0\toπ ^-Λ _c^+)$, first measured here to b… ▽ MoreSubmitted 11 September, 2020; v1 submitted 23 July, 2020; originally announced July 2020.

Precision tests of the Standard Model with leptonic and semileptonic kaon decays
Abstract: We present a global analysis of leptonic and semileptonic kaon decays data, including all recent results by BNL-E865, KLOE, KTeV, ISTRA+, and NA48. Experimental results are critically reviewed and combined, taking into account theoretical (both analytical and numerical) constraints on the semileptonic kaon form factors. This analysis leads to a very accurate determination of Vus and allows us to… ▽ More
