$D \to
ρ \,\ell^+\ell^-$ Decays in the QCD Factorization ApproachAbstract: We consider rare semileptonic decays of a heavy $D$-meson into a light vector meson in the framework of QCD factorization. In contrast to the corresponding $B$-meson decays, the naive factorization hypothesis does not even serve as a first approximation. Rather, the decay amplitudes appear to be dominated by non-factorizable dynamics, e.g. through annihilation topologies, which are particularly se… ▽ More

Higher-order Wilson coefficients for c $\to$ u transitions in the Standard Model
Abstract: The standard theoretical framework to deal with weak decays of heavy mesons is the so-called weak effective Hamiltonian. It involves the short-distance Wilson coefficients, which depend on the renormalisation scale $
μ $. For specific calculations one has to evolve the Wilson coefficients down from the electroweak scale $μ =M_W$ to the typical mass scale of the decay under consideration. This is done… ▽ MoreSubmitted 17 June, 2016; originally announced June 2016.

Bottomonium Hyperfine Splitting on the Lattice and in the Continuum
Abstract: We revise the analysis of the bottomonium hyperfine splitting within the lattice nonrelativistic QCD. The Wilson coefficients of the radiatively improved lattice action are evaluated by a semianalytic approach based on the asymptotic expansion about the continuum limit. The nonrelativistic renormalization group is used to estimate the high-order radiative corrections. Our result for the $1S$ hyper… ▽ More

Leptonic decay of the Upsilon(1S) meson at third order in QCD
Abstract: We present the complete next-to-next-to-next-to-leading order short-distance and bound-state QCD correction to the leptonic decay rate Gamma(Upsilon(1S)->l+l-) of the lowest-lying spin-1 bottomonium state. The perturbative QCD prediction is compared to the measurement Gamma(Upsilon(1S)->e+e-)=1.340(18) keV.

Three-loop matching of the vector current
Abstract: We evaluate the three-loop corrections to the matching coefficient of the vector current between Quantum Chromodynamics (QCD) and non-relativistic QCD. The result is presented in the MSbar scheme where large perturbative corrections are observed. The implications on the threshold production of top quark pairs are briefly discussed.

Matching QCD and HQET heavy-light currents at three loops
Abstract: We consider the currents formed by a heavy and a light quark within Quantum Chromodynamics and compute the matching to Heavy Quark Effective Theory to three-loop accuracy. As an application we obtain the third-order perturbative corrections to ratios of B-meson decay constants.

Threshold corrections to the gamma t anti-t vertex at O(alpha alpha(s))
Abstract: In these proceedings a recent calculation of the last missing piece of the two-loop O(alpha alpha(s)) corrections to gamma t anti-t vertex at the t anti-t threshold due to the exchange of a W boson and a gluon is summarised. The calculation constitutes a building block of the top quark threshold production cross section at electron positron colliders.

On-shell renormalisation constants including two different nonzero masses
Abstract: We present results for the effect of a second massive quark in the relation between the pole and the minimal subtracted quark mass at the three loop level. We also consider the analogous effect for the wave function renormalisation constant. Some technical details of the calculation are given. Our result is phenomenologically relevant for the bottom quark including virtual charm effects.

Analytic two-loop virtual corrections to $b --> d l^+ l^-$
Abstract: We compute the two-loop virtual corrections to the flavour changing neutral current process $b --> d l^+ l^-$. As calculation techniques integration by parts identities and the method of differential equations are used. The result is presented in closed form as a function of $q^2/m_b^2$, where $q^2$ is the invariant mass of the lepton pair and $m_b$ is the b-quark mass.

Systematic approach to exclusive B ->V l^+l^-, V gamma decays
Abstract: We show -- by explicit computation of first-order corrections -- that the QCD factorization approach previously applied to hadronic two-body decays and to form factor ratios also allows us to compute non-factorizable corrections to exclusive, radiative B meson decays in the heavy quark mass limit. This removes a major part of the theoretical uncertainty in the region of small invariant mass of t… ▽ More
