Recently, it has been found that a $Q$-ball can amplify waves incident upon it, due to rotation in the internal space and the interaction of the two modes in the complex scalar field. While the spherically symmetric 3D case has been investigated previously, here we explore the 3D axi-symmetric case, which is numerically much more challenging. The difficulty comes because a partial wave expansion is needed, and the different partial waves can not be separated, for either the background spinning Q-ball solution or the perturbative scattering on top of it. A relaxation method and a high dimensional shooting method are applied to compute the Q-ball solutions and the amplification factors respectively. We also classify the behavior of the amplification factors and we discuss their bounds and the superradiance criteria.

The full data set of the Daya Bay reactor neutrino experiment is used to probe the effect of the charged current non-standard interactions (CC-NSI) on neutrino oscillation experiments. Two different approaches are applied and constraints on the corresponding CC-NSI parameters are obtained with the neutrino flux taken from the Huber-Mueller model with a $5\%$ uncertainty. For the quantum mechanics-based approach (QM-NSI), the constraints on the CC-NSI parameters $ε_{eα}$ and $ε_{eα}^{s}$ are extracted with and without the assumption that the effects of the new physics are the same in the production and detection processes, respectively. The approach based on the weak effective field theory (WEFT-NSI) deals with four types of CC-NSI represented by the parameters $[\varepsilon_{X}]_{eα}$. For both approaches, the results for the CC-NSI parameters are shown for cases with various fixed values of the CC-NSI and the Dirac CP-violating phases, and when they are allowed to vary freely. We find that constraints on the QM-NSI parameters $ε_{eα}$ and $ε_{eα}^{s}$ from the Daya Bay experiment alone can reach the order $\mathcal{O}(0.01)$ for the former and $\mathcal{O}(0.1)$ for the latter, while for WEFT-NSI parameters $[\varepsilon_{X}]_{eα}$, we obtain $\mathcal{O}(0.1)$ for both cases.

Q-balls are non-topological solitons that coherently rotate in field space. We show that these coherent rotations can induce superradiance for scattering waves, thanks to the fact that the scattering involves two coupled modes. Despite the conservation of the particle number in the scattering, the mismatch between the frequencies of the two modes allows for the enhancement of the energy and angular momentum of incident waves. When the Q-ball spins in real space, additional rotational superradiance is also possible, which can further boost the enhancements. We identify the criteria for the energy and angular momentum superradiance to occur.

We show that charge-swapping Q-balls can be copiously generated in the Affleck-Dine fragmentation process in the early universe. We find that the charge-swapping Q-balls with the logarithmic potential are extremely stable. By performing long time, parallelized lattice simulations with absorbing boundary conditions, we find that the lifetimes of such objects with low multipoles are at least $4.6 \times 10^5/m$ in 3+1D and $2.5 \times 10^7/m$ in 2+1D, where $m$ is the mass scale of the scalar field. We also chart the attractor basin of the initial conditions to form these charge-swapping Q-balls.

We investigate the properties, particularly the lifetimes, of these long-lived CSQs in 2+1D and 3+1D using numerical simulations with efficient second order absorbing boundary conditions. We find that the evolution of a CSQ typically consists of 4 distinct stages: initial relaxation, first plateau (CSQ stage), fast decay and second plateau (oscillon stage). We chart the lifetimes of CSQs for different parameters of the initial conditions and of the potential, and show the attractor behavior and other properties of the CSQs.

Localization of a spin-$1/2$ fermion on the braneworld is an important and interesting problem. It is well known that a five-dimensional free massless fermion $Ψ$ minimally coupled to gravity cannot be localized on the Randall-Sundrum braneworld. In order to trap such a fermion, the coupling between the fermion and bulk scalar fields should be introduced. In this paper, localization and quasilocalization of a bulk fermion on the thick braneworld generated by two scalar fields (a kink scalar $φ$ and a dilaton scalar $π$) are investigated. Two types of couplings between the fermion and two scalars are considered. One coupling is the usual Yukawa coupling $-η\barΨφΨ$ between the fermion and kink scalar, another one is $λ\barΨΓ^{M}\partial_{M}πγ^{5}Ψ$ between the fermion and dilaton scalar. The left-chiral fermion zero mode can be localized on the brane, and both the left- and right-chiral fermion massive Kaluza-Klein modes may be localized or quasilocalized. Hence the four-dimensional massless left-chiral fermion and massive Dirac fermions, whose lifetime is infinite or finite, can be obtained on the brane.

This indicates that the constituent quark degrees of freedom represent a decisive factor in thermal hadron production above 30 AGeV and seem to be invalid at 20 AGeV. In addition, hadron yields as well as particle ratios at midrapidity in the most central Pb+Pb collisions at $\sqrt{s_{NN}}=5.5$ TeV are predicted.

The centrality dependence of $\mathrm{{p}_{T}}$ spectra and the $R_{CP}$ for $π^{0}$, $K_{s}^{0}$ and $Λ$ in Cu+Cu collisions at $\sqrt{s_{NN}}= 200$ GeV are well described. Processes of the form $pp\to anything \to X_i X_j \to x\bar{x} + y\bar{y} (+ \slashchar{E})$ are studied via a technique that may be viewed as an adaptation of time-honoured Dalitz plot analyses. $X_i$ and $X_j$ are new heavy states (with $i,j=1...n$), which may be identical or distinct; and $x\bar{x}$ and $y\bar{y}$ are necessarily distinct Standard Model (SM) fermion pairs whose invariant masses can be measured. A Dalitz-like plot of said invariant masses, $M(x\bar{x})$ {\it vs.$$} $M(y\bar{y})$, exhibits a topology connected to the masses and specific decay chains of $X_i$ and $X_j$. Aside from relatively minor details, observed patterns consist of a collection of box and wedge shapes. This collection is model-dependent: comparison of the observed pattern to the possibilities for a specific model yields information on which new particle pair combinations are actually being produced, information beyond that extractable from conventional one-dimensional invariant mass distributions. The technique is illustrated via application to the Minimal Supersymmetric Standard Model (MSSM) process $pp \to \tilde{g}\tilde{g},\tilde{g}\tilde{q},\tilde{q}\tilde{q} \to \widetildeχ_i^0 \widetildeχ_j^0 \to e^+ e^- + μ^+ μ^- (+ \slashchar{E})$. Here the heavy states are neutralinos $\widetildeχ_i^0$ ($i=2,3,4$) -- note $\widetildeχ_1^0$ is excluded -- which are produced in gluino/squark ($\tilde{g}$/$\tilde{q}$) cascade decay chains. Even with fairly modest expectations for the LHC performance during the first few years, this method still provides substantial insight into the neutralino mass spectrum and couplings if gluino/squark masses are relatively low ($\simeq 400 \hbox{GeV}$).

The modified generator is applied to produce the hadronic events in $e^+ e^-$ annihilation. It describes the experimental data at the same level as the original JETSET with default parameters. This should be understood as a demonstration that color singlet chain is not the unique color connection. Abstract:
Hadronic events in $e^+ e^- \to Z^0$ are generated by a Monte-Carlo model including the production of colour separate states. These events are compared with those produced by the JETSET with default set of parameters where the colour connections are colour singlet chains. Abstract:
In popular event generators of high energy reaction, the large Nc, the number of color approximation is implied, which reduces the possible interference effects, and the probability of color singlet chain reaches to about 100%. In $Nc=3$ real world, we show that not only the color interference decreases this probability to 83%, 77%, 72%, $...$, respectively to $n=2$, 3, 4, $...$, {in the process…

In the meanwhile, we fin d that the kinematic interference makes the probability of color separate singlet states increases synchronously. Combing and analyzing above facts, we infer that the probability of color singlet chain states in high energy ${e^+e^-}{\longrightarrow}{h's}$ reaction would be much smaller than 100%, which is commonly accepted. And the fraction of other color connec tion states, $e.g.$, color separate singlet states should be significant.

We use the method of the color effective Hamiltonian to study the structure of color singlet chain states in $N_c=3$ and in the large $N_c$ limit. In order to obtain their total fraction when $N_c$ is finite, we illustrate how to orthogonalize these non-orthogonal states. We give numerical results for the fraction of orthogonalized states in $e^+e^-\to q\bar{q}gg$. With the help of a diagram technique, we derive their fraction up to $O(1/N_c^2)$ for the general multigluon process. For large $N_c$ the singlet chain states correspond to well-defined color topologies. Therefore we may expect that the fraction of non-color-singlet-chain states is an estimate of the fraction of events where color reconnection is possible. In the case of soft gluon bremsstrahlung, we give an explicit form for the color effective Hamiltonian which leads to the dipole cascade formulation for parton showering in leading order in $N_c$. The next-to-leading order corrections are also given for $e^+e^-\to q\bar{q}g_1g_2$ and $e^+e^-\to q\bar{q}g_1g_2g_3$.

Abstract:
According to the basic properties of QCD, colour reconnection effects can occur in hadronic processes at high energies. We calculate the partial width and the momentum distribution of the produced $J/Ψ$ in this channel. The obtained width is comparable to the experimental data. The momentum distribution is fairly soft, which is in contrast to the results from the colour-octet processes discussed earlier in literature but is consistent with the CLEO measurements. Further experiments to check this contribution are suggested.

We use the method of color effective Hamiltonian to study the properties of states in which a gluonic subsystem forms a color singlet, and we will study the possibility that such a subsystem hadronizes as a separate unit. A parton system can normally be subdivided into singlet subsystems in many different ways, and one problem arises from the fact that the corresponding states are not orthogonal. We show that if only contributions of order $1/N_c^2$ are included, the problem is greatly simplified. Only a very limited number of states are possible, and we present an orthogonalization procedure for these states. The result is simple and intuitive and could give an estimate of the possibility to produce color separated gluonic subsystems, if no dynamical effects are important. We also study with a simple MC the possibility that configurations which correspond to "short strings" are dynamically favored. The advantage of our approach over more elaborate models is its simplicity, which makes it easier to estimate color reconnection effects in reactions which are more complicated than the relatively simple $e^+e^-$ annihilation.

Abstract:
We use Quark Combination Model to study baryon antibaryon rapidity correlation in e^+e^- annihilation and compare our predictions with the available data. We find that these results and relevant properties are all consistent with data. So the evidence to rule out Quark Combination Model which has long been cited in literatures does not exist.

Abstract:
A strict method to calculate the color rearrangement probability at partonic level in hadronic $W^+W^-$ decays is proposed. The color effective Hamiltonian $H_c$ is constructed from invariant amplitude for the process $e^+e^- \to W^+W^- \to q_1\bar{q}_2 q_3\bar{q}_4+ng$ (n=0, 1, 2, ...) and is used to calculate the cross sections of various color singlets and the color rearrangement probability.…
