The $ΞN$ interaction plays an important role in our understanding on the long-anticipated $H$-dibaryon. Recent lattice QCD calculations verified the attractive nature of the $ΞN$ interaction. On the other hand, whether it is strong enough to generate a bound state remains inconclusive. In this work, assuming that it can generate a weakly bound state, we study the yields of the $ΞN$ dibaryon for different binding energies in $pp$ collisions at 7 TeV using the coalescence model and the transport model PACIAE. The yields are estimated first numerically and then analytically adopting a Yukawa-type wave function. In particular, we find that in the weak binding limit, there exists a universal relation between the yield and the binding energy, valid for $pp$ collisions.

We develop a robust method to extract the pole configuration of a given partial-wave amplitude. In our approach, a deep neural network is constructed where the statistical errors of the experimental data are taken into account. The teaching dataset is constructed using a generic S-matrix parametrization, ensuring that all the poles produced are independent of each other. The inclusion of statistical error results into a noisy classification dataset which we should solve using the curriculum method. As an application, we use the elastic $πN$ amplitude in the $I(J^P)=1/2(1/2^{-})$ sector where $10^6$ amplitudes are produced by combining points in each error bar of the experimental data. We fed the amplitudes to the trained deep neural network and find that the enhancements in the $πN$ amplitude are caused by one pole in each nearby unphysical sheet and at most two poles in the distant sheet. Finally, we show that the extracted pole configurations are independent of the way points in each error bar are drawn and combined, demonstrating the statistical robustness of our method.

The key quantity is the scattering amplitude whose analytic structure carries the information of the quantum states. In this work, we demonstrate our first step attempt to extract the pole configuration of inelastic scatterings using the deep learning method. Among various problems, motivated by the recent new hadron phenomena, we develop a curriculum learning method of deep neural network to analyze coupled channel scattering problems. Most of exotic resonances observed in the past decade appear as peak structure near some threshold. These near-threshold phenomena can be interpreted as genuine resonant states or enhanced threshold cusps. Apparently, there is no straightforward way of distinguishing the two structures. In this work, we employ the strength of deep feed-forward neural network in classifying objects with almost similar features. We construct a neural network model with scattering amplitude as input and nature of pole causing the enhancement as output. The training data is generated by an S-matrix satisfying the unitarity and analyticity requirements. Using the separable potential model, we generate a validation data set to measure the network's predictive power. We find that our trained neural network model gives high accuracy when the cut-off parameter of the validation data is within $400$-$800\mbox{ MeV}$. As a final test, we use the Nijmegen partial wave and potential models for nucleon-nucleon scattering and show that the network gives the correct nature of pole.

We investigate theoretically the $K^{0} p$ invariant mass spectrum of the $K^{+} d \to K^{0} p p$ reaction and scrutinize how the signal of the "$Θ^{+}$" pentaquark, if it exists, emerges in the $K^{0} p$ spectrum. The most prominent advantage of this reaction is that we can clearly judge whether the "$Θ^{+}$" exists or not as a direct-formation production without significant backgrounds, in contrast to other reactions such as photoproduction and $π$-induced productions. We show that while the impulse or single-step scattering process can cover the "$Θ^{+}$" energy region with an initial kaon momentum $k_{\mathrm{lab}} \approx 0.40\, \mathrm{GeV} / c$ in the laboratory frame, the contributions from double-step processes may have a potential possibility to reach the "$Θ^{+}$" energy region with a higher kaon momentum $k_{\mathrm{lab}} \sim 1 \, \mathrm{GeV} / c$. Assuming that the full decay width of the "$Θ^{+}$" is around $0.5\, \mathrm{MeV}$, we predict that the magnitude of the peak corresponding to the "$Θ^+$" is around a few hundred $μ\mathrm{b}$ to $1\, \mathrm{mb}$ with the momentum of the kaon beam $k_{\mathrm{lab}} \approx 0.40\, \mathrm{GeV} / c$ while it is around $\lesssim 1\, μ\mathrm{b}$ with $k_{\mathrm{lab}} \approx 0.85\, \mathrm{GeV} / c$. Thus, the "$Θ^+$" peak is more likely to be seen at $k_{\mathrm{lab}} \approx 0.40\, \mathrm{GeV} / c$ than at $k_{\mathrm{lab}} \approx 0.85 \,\mathrm{GeV} / c$.

The 1/2 and 3/2 spin-averaged scattering length $a_{ωp}$ and effective range $r_{ωp}$ between the $ω$ meson and proton are estimated from the shape of the total cross section as a function of the incident photon energy: $a_{ωp} = \left(-0.97^{+0.16_{\rm stat}}_{-0.16_{\rm stat}}{}^{+0.03_{\rm syst}}_{-0.00_{\rm syst}}\right)+i \left(0.07^{+0.15_{\rm stat}}_{-0.14_{\rm stat}}{}^{+0.17_{\rm syst}}_{-0.09_{\rm syst}}\right)$ fm and $r_{ωp}=\left(+2.78^{+0.68_{\rm stat}}_{-0.54_{\rm stat}}{}^{+0.11_{\rm syst}}_{-0.13_{\rm syst}}\right)+i\left(-0.01^{+0.46_{\rm stat}}_{-0.50_{\rm stat}}{}^{+0.07_{\rm syst}}_{-0.00_{\rm syst}}\right)$ fm, resulting in a repulsive force. The real and imaginary parts for $a_{ωp}$ and $r_{ωp}$ are determined separately for the first time. A small $P$-wave contribution does not affect the obtained values.

We study the photo- and electro-productions of the vector kaon off the proton, i.e., $γ^{(*)}p\to K^{*+}π^0Σ^0$, and investigate the line shape of the $π^0Σ^0$ invariant mass in an effective Lagrangian approach with the inclusion of a $K^*NΛ^*$ interaction. Relevant electromagnetic form factors for the neutral hyperons and charged strange mesons are constructed by considering experimental and theoretical information. We find that the $Λ^*$ peak is clearly observed for the photo- and electro-productions with the finite $K^*NΛ^*$ interaction, whereas the clear peak signals survive only for the electro-production, when we ignore the interaction. These different behaviors can be understood by different $Q^2$ dependences in the $K^*$ electromagnetic and $K^*\toγK$ transition form factors. We suggest a photon-polarization asymmetry $Σ$ to extract information of the $K^*NΛ^*$ interaction. It turns out that $Σ$ near the $Λ^*$ peak region becomes negative with a finite $K^*NΛ^*$ interaction while positive without it for $Q^2 = 0$, due to the different naturalities of $K$ and $K^*$ exchanges. For $Q^2\ne 0$, we observe more obvious signals in the peak region due to the additional contribution of the longitudinal virtual photon for $Λ^*$.

The first-ever high statistics cross section data are obtained in this kinematical region, and the asymmetry data for 1.5<Egamma(GeV)<2.8 are obtained for the first time. This reaction has a unique feature for studying the production mechanisms of a pure $u\bar{u}$ quark pair in the final state from the proton. Although there is no distinct peak structure in the cross sections, a non-negligible excess over the theoretical predictions is observed at Egamma=1.5-1.8 GeV. The asymmetries are found to be negative in most of the present kinematical regions, suggesting the dominance of pi-exchange in the t-channel. The negative asymmetries at forward meson production angles are different from the asymmetries previously measured for the photoproduction reactions which produce a $d\bar{d}$ or an $s\bar{s}$ quark pair in the final state. Advanced theoretical models introducing nucleon resonances and additional unnatural parity exchanges are needed to reproduce the present data.

However, the energy dependence of the cross sections for 0.9<cos(theta)<1 and Egamma=1.5-2.2 GeV (W=1.9-2.2 GeV) is different, which may be due to a nucleon or Delta resonance. The present cross sections agree well with the previous cross sections measured by other groups and show forward peaking, suggesting significant t-channel contributions in this kinematical region. The asymmetries are found to be positive, which can be explained by rho-exchange in the t-channel. Large positive asymmetries in the small |t| region, where the rho-exchange contribution becomes small, could be explained by introducing pi-exchange interference with the s-channel.

In order to estimate the magnitude of the charm production relative to that of the strangeness production, we assume that the coupling constants for the charmed meson and baryon vertices are the same as those for the strangeness channel. We found that the total cross section for the charm production was about $10^3 - 10^6$ times smaller than that for the strangeness production, depending on theoretical approaches and kinematical regions. We also discuss each contribution to observables for both reactions. In general, the Regge approach explains the experimental data very well over the whole energy region.

Our analysis strongly indicates that both pi1(1600) and pi1(2015) are also compatible with the exotic tetraquark interpretation, which are sometimes labeled as candidates of the 1^{-+} hybrid mesons. Moreover one of their dominant decay modes is a pair of axial-vector and pseudoscalar mesons such as b1(1235) pi, which is sometimes considered as the characteristic decay mode of the hybrid mesons.
