BE IT REMEMBERED, That on the twentieth day of July, in the thirty-third year of the Inde- pendence of the United States of America, Samuel Latham Mitchill and Edward Miller, of the said District, have deposited in this office the title of a book, the right whereof they claim as authors, in the words and figure following, to wit: "The Medical Repository, comprehending Original Essays and Intelligence relative to Medicine, Chemistry, Natural History, Agricul ture, Geography and the Arts; more especially as they are cultivated in America; and a Review of American Publications on Medicine and the Aux- iliary Branches of Science. Conducted by Samuel Latham Mitchill, M. D. F. R. S. E. Professor of Chemistry in the University of New-York, Senator in the Congress of the United States, &c. and Edward Miller, M. D. Resi- dent Physician for the City of New York, Professor of the Practice of Physic in the University of Mew-York; &c. • Cupere omnia scire, cujuscumque modi sp, furiosgrum est: duci vero cupiditate scientia ad magnarum rerum contefoplationem, summerin birorum esse est putandum.'
