Abstract The procedure of an experiment aiming at studying the impact of the transverse damper gain on the beam oscillation spectrum and on the emittance growth of colliding beams is described along with the corresponding results. It is shown experimentally that the damper reduces the beam oscillation of the 50Hzへるつ harmonics cluster around 8kHzきろへるつ. The beneficial impact of the upgrade of the transverse damper pickup electronics on the emittance growth rate is also demonstrated.
