This category is for tarot or tarock playing cards of the Austrian Industrie und Glück pattern which is a 54-card variant of the French-suited tarot pack.

The earliest known example of this pattern is dated to 1815 based on the tax stamp on the Ace. It was manufactured by Johann Norbert Hofmann of Vienna. Today the Industrie und Glück pattern has become the Austrian standard tarock pack (source: "Wohl das erste Industrie und Glück Tarock" by Hans-Joachim Alscher in Talon, No. 23, 2014, p. 77).

The International Playing Card Society categorises the three main patterns as Austrian Tarock Types A, B and C, of which Type C is the most common today.
