Marie Thérèse of Austria (10 September 1638 – 30 July 1683) was the only surviving daughter of King Philip IV of Spain and Elisabeth of France. A first cousin of Louis XIV, she married him June 1661 and was his consort until her death in 1683. Mother of the Grand Dauphin, sister of the last Spanish Habsburg, it was through her that the Bourbon's of France would inherit the Spanish throne in 1700.
