Profile

With more than two decades of experience in Higher Education leadership, Robert Budach was selected as Vice President of Administrative Services at Mesa Community College, effective July 1, 2024.

Most recently, Budach was the Senior Director of Asset Management, Contracts, and Compliance at Arizona State University where he provided oversight to division contracts, compliance, leasing processes, and audit functions; developed talent of a cross-trained class of auxiliary and business services professionals; and led capital planning and asset management for division auxiliary services. Serving at ASU since 2009, he has been Director of Asset Management, Housing & Dining Finance; Associate Director of Operations; Assistant Director for Residential Services & Education; and Senior Coordinator for Training, Recruitment and Selection.

His career also includes higher education leadership roles at North Central College, the University of Missouri St. Louis, and Northern Illinois University. Budach was a language teacher in the Japan Exchange and Teaching Program in Akita, Japan.

He earned a Master of Leadership Studies from North Central College, a Master of Business Administration from the ASU W.P. Carey School of Business with an emphasis on finance, a bachelors degree in philosophy and psychology from Augustana College in Illinois, and certifications as a Project Management Professional and Certified Auxiliary Services Professional.

Professional affiliations include the National Association of College Auxiliary Services (NACAS), a leading association for auxiliary services professionals, and the Association of College and University Housing Officers-International (ACUHO-I), an organization for campus housing and residence life professionals.
