Grand Etang Lake
Grenada, in Saint Andrew Parish. Evidence suggests that the Grand Etang Lake is connected to Kick 'em Jenny, an active submarine volcano since when Kick Em Jenny was observed bubbling, so too were the waters in Grand Etang Lake. The Grand Etang Lake is Vorlage:Convert above sea level and it is one of the two crater lakes on the island (the other being Lake Antoine). The lake is approximately 20 feet deep.[1]
Grand Etang Lake is a submarine volcano that is extinct. It is located on the island ofOne is able to discover distinct eco-zones because of the park's varied elevation. There's also an azure-colored lake—actually a volcanic crater that long ago filled with water—sitting more than 1700 feet above sea level (as previously mentioned). Guided tours are available. A self-guided hike around the lake along a trail goes past waterfalls and through jungle. Tropical birds, tiny bright-chartreuse lizards, a variety of orchids, and armadilloes can be seen. Mount Qua Qua can be seen across the lake. Trail hikes range from 15 minutes to 4 hours. Monkeys can also be seen in the overhead forest trees.[2]
