Tool of the week

• Wikidata periodic table - Tool by User:Ricordisamoa, to browse all chemical elements available on Wikidata, with atomic number, chemical symbol, and localized label. It also includes two charts of the nuclides, with links to every isotope in Wikidata, colored by half-life or decay mode.

Other Noteworthy Stuff

• A new UI mode is available for the online validator for EntitySchemas. It represents validation reports as a table rather than a very long string, and replaces most links with hyperlinks with some of the text behind them; making them easier to read. Currently being tested at https://shex-validator.toolforge.org/packages/shex-webapp/doc/shex-simple-improved.html, we are looking for participants to evaluate this tool. Some experience with editing Wikidata is appreciated, but no experience working with Schemas is required. If you are interested, you can sign up here. We hope to begin interviews around May 13. Technische Neuigkeiten: 2024-20

Neueste Technik-Nachrichten der Wikimedia-Community. Bitte informiere andere Nutzer über diese Entwicklungen. Nicht alle Änderungen werden dich betreffen.

Letzte Änderungen

• Auf Wikisource gibt es eine Spezialseite zur Auflistung von Seiten von Werken ohne zugehörige Bilder von Scans. Du kannst nun das neue magische Wort __EXPECTWITHOUTSCANS__ nutzen, um bestimmte Seiten (Liste von Ausgaben oder Übersetzungen eines Werkes) von dieser Liste auszuschließen. [1]
• Wenn du die Benutzereinstellung "Vorschau ohne Neuladen der Seite anzeigen" nutzt, wird die Funktion "Vorschau der Seite mit dieser Vorlage anzeigen" für Vorlagen auch funktionieren, ohne die Seite neu zu laden. [2]
• Kartographer-Karten können nun über das Attribut alt= einen alternativen Text angeben. Dies ist identisch zur Nutzung des Attributs alt= in der Syntax für Bilder und Galerien. Eine Ausnahme für diese Funktion sind Wikis wie Wikivoyage, bei denen die Miniaturkarten interaktiv sind. [3]
• Die alte Guided Tour für die "Neuen Filter zur Bearbeitungsüberprüfung" wurde entfernt. Sie wurde 2017 erstellt, um Personen mit älteren Konten zu zeigen, wie sich die Benutzeroberfläche geändert hat und wurde nun von den meisten Personen aus der Zielgruppe gesehen. [4]

Anstehende Änderungen im Verlauf der Woche

• Die neue Version der MediaWiki-Software wird auf dem Testwiki und MediaWiki.org ab dem 14. Mai verfügbar sein. Auf Nicht-Wikipedia-Wikis und einigen Wikipedias vom 15. Mai. Auf allen Wikis ab dem 16. Mai (Kalender). [5][6]
• Die Ergebnisseite für Spezial:Suche wird nun zur besseren Zugänglichkeit CSS-Flex-Attribute statt einer Tabelle verwenden. Wenn du ein Helferlein oder Skript hast, das Suchergebnisse anpasst, solltest du dein Skript auf die neue HTML-Struktur anpassen. [7]

Zukünftige Änderungen

• Im Skin Vector 2022 werden Hauptseiten (wie Spezialseiten) in ganzer Breite angezeigt. Das Ziel ist, die Anzahl von Zeichen je Zeile groß genug zu halten. Dies steht in Zusammenhang mit den kommenden Typografieänderungen in Vector 2022. Mehr erfahren. [8]
• Zwei Spalten der Datenbanktabelle pagelinks (pl_namespace und pl_title) werden bald abgeschafft. Benutzer müssen stattdessen zwei Spalten der neuen Tabelle linktarget nutzen (lt_namespace und lt_title). In vorhandenen SQL-Abfragen:
  1. JOIN pagelinks durch JOIN linktarget und pl_ durch lt_ in der Aussage ON ersetzen
  2. Darunter JOIN pagelinks ON lt_id = pl_target_id hinzufügen

Die Entwickler*innen aus dem Team Technische Wünsche stehen dir einmal im Monat für Fragen und Probleme rund um Community-Werkzeuge in einer Videosprechstunde zur Verfügung. Der nächste Termin ist bereits am 16.05. von 14:00 bis 15:00 Uhr. Solltest du zu den geplanten Terminen nicht können, aber trotzdem ein technisches Problem haben, dann notiere es bei der Reparaturhilfe.
