Nicknames
Hi there. I wanted to explain why I reverted a recent edit of yours. Per MOS:NICKNAME, we generally don't include unnecessary nicknames in the opening sentence. If someone is well-known as "Bill", for example, we don't have to alert users to the fact that this is short for "William". It's pretty obvious to anyone familiar with English naming customs. This includes the authority to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.

Your hatnote for the Halsey (singer) article
Hello. I reverted your addition, because "Halsey" does not actually redirect to Halsey (singer). —BarrelProof (talk) 22:12, 29 November 2018 (UTC)
