Blake Demond Hinson (born December 26, 1999) is an American professional basketball player for the Santa Cruz Warriors of the NBA G League. He played college basketball for the Ole Miss Rebels and the Pittsburgh Panthers.

Early life and high school career
editHinson grew up in Deltona, Florida and initially attended Deltona High School. He transferred to Sunrise Christian Academy in Bel Aire, Kansas before the start of his senior season.[2]
College career
editHinson began his college career at Ole Miss. He started 31 games and averaged 8.3 points and 2.9 rebounds as a freshman.[3] Hinson averaged 10.1 points, 4.6 rebounds, and 1.4 assists during his sophomore season.[4] After the season, he entered the NCAA transfer portal.[5]
Hinson transferred to Iowa State.[6] He missed his first season with the Cyclones due to an unspecified medical condition.[7] Hinson left the program shortly before the start of the 2021–2022 season.[8]
Hinson transferred a second time to Pittsburgh.[9] He was named second-team All-Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC) in his first season with the team after averaging 15.3 points and 6.0 rebounds.[10] Hinson was named first-team All-ACC in his final season at Pitt.[11] He averaged 18.5 points per game and set a school record with 110 made three-pointers.[12]
Professional career
editSanta Cruz Warriors (2024–present)
editAfter going unselected in the 2024 NBA draft, Hinson signed a two-way contract with the Los Angeles Lakers on July 5, 2024,[13] but was waived on September 16[14][15] and seven days later, he signed with the Golden State Warriors.[16] However, he was waived on October 19[17] and nine days later, he joined the Santa Cruz Warriors.[18]
