"Rule," POV Phrasing
editI think this article may warrant a bit of editing to do away with a bit of POV phrasing. A good example would be the repeated use of the word "rule" to describe various aspects of his power. I wouldn't dispute that the term is accurate, but it does seem a bit critical, considering he held no office that would usually be associated with the term. Typically, when we describe someone who isn't a monarch as "ruling," we do so ironically with an aim to critique their excessive power, and as such it seems a bit POV to me. A minor issue, surely, but I wanted to throw this out there to see if anyone else was in favor of changing it. 74.69.49.114 (talk) 14:25, 21 July 2012 (UTC)
Marriages
editI just wanted to mention that in one area it says he was never remarried "Also Johnson did not remarry after his wife died in 1912 until 1941; in the fictional Thompson's case he remarried in 1921.". However in 2 other areas it states that he did have a second wife. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 98.113.16.220 (talk) 07:04, 20 September 2012 (UTC)
Read what you have typed again: "Also Johnson did not remarry after his wife died in 1912 until 1941; in the fictional Thompson's case he remarried in 1921." That is saying that he didn't remarry UNTIL 1941, which means that he indeed did have a second wife. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 24.218.135.2 (talk) 23:06, 19 December 2012 (UTC)

page title
editSince the middle initial L is known, should not the page be moved from Enoch L. Johnson to Enoch Lewis Johnson Unibond (talk) 13:08, 30 May 2020 (UTC)
No, because he was known more as Enoch L. Johnson or Nucky Johnson. In my opinion, the page should be moved to Nucky Johnson, the article about Al Capone isn't titled Alphonse Capone. Dadatyttyt (talk) 06:22, 4 April 2021 (UTC)
