Correction
editI hear that there's going to be a child actor assuming the role of the main protagonist. If you find the perfect one, make changes. 76.238.240.169 (talk) 04:39, 17 February 2011 (UTC)
- I do believe you are correct here. When WP:reliable sources become available, I can follow up here. I may have a potential conflict of interest, so please make any necessary changes or updates to my edits as you see needed. FYI, I just made a few minor updates to the cast list and producers which are cited here.--TravisBernard (talk) 20:46, 17 February 2011 (UTC)
Reception?
editIs there a standard for the number of reviews that need to be released before including the Rotten Tomatoes score? At the moment, only 20-30 reviewers have reviewed this film. I think that it is a little early to include a reception section. What does everyone think? --TravisBernard (talk) 22:15, 10 March 2011 (UTC)
- There is no true standard, but I think that when Rotten Tomatoes presents the "critics' consensus" on the page, that would be a good time to include the score. You can use the wording found at WP:RTMC. In the meantime, we could maybe cite one positive and one negative review of the film so we don't have such a short section. Home media
editI think the home media section could use some additional information about the separate release options. I drafted a version of the home media section here. If anyone has feedback on my re-write, I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks. --TravisBernard (talk) 20:36, 16 May 2011 (UTC)
- I Implemented the above edits. Let's keep the conversation open regarding what to include versus exclude. Thanks. --TravisBernard (talk) 17:00, 17 May 2011 (UTC)
Honest Injun
editUpon coming into this article, I noticed that at the end of the introductory paragraph there was a bit going on about how the phrase 'Honest Injun' had made it into the movie without being censored, and that parents should address the issue with their children.
Considering it had no citations, had a completely different tone from the rest of the paragraph, and... honestly had no place in the introduction of the movie's page when it addresses only a single line within the film itself, I removed it.
Should I have just moved it elsewhere in the article? Again, it had no citations and was just a single (albeit long) sentence, so I'm not sure how well it would have fit anywhere else in the article, either. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 69.207.191.195 (talk) 01:36, 16 January 2012 (UTC)
Reworking the plot summary
editI know that a plot summary is supposed to be just that -- a summary. However, in its current state, this leaves out the major plot point in which the female Martians shunned and suppressed the males, and then later after the Supervisor's defeat, the genders reconcile and reestablish family units. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 97.102.92.188 (talk) 05:29, 24 September 2013 (UTC)
Budget?
editThe budget always seems to be given as $150m, and emphasis given on the resulting size of the loss; however, does anyone know why the budget was so high, or allowed to get so? Was it, perhaps, down to creative accounting, arranged by rolling into the cost of the project at least some of the loss accrued by Disney when the shut down the division which made the film? Given the notoriety of the budget, which is perhaps more remembered than the story, a little background on the circumstances of the debacle would enhance the article.
