Merge proposal
editI propose to merge Zeya Reservoir into this article. Both articles are very closely interrelated. As both articles are stubs, merging will help to create a more comprehensive article. Beagel (talk) 14:10, 21 August 2011 (UTC)
- Oppose. There are a lot of articles about water reservoirs and power plants of high quality (ru:Баксанская ГЭС, ru:Саяно-Шушенская ГЭС, ru:Чебоксарская ГЭС, Rampart Dam, Grand Coulee Dam, Hoover Dam (Lake Mead), Llanishen Reservoir, ru:Усть-Илимское водохранилище, ru:Куйбышевское водохранилище, Churchill Falls Generating Station (Smallwood Reservoir) etc). Also many different iwiki for dam and reservoir.--Insider (talk) 13:28, 23 August 2011 (UTC)
- Comment. Fact, that there are a lot of articles about water reservoirs and power plants of high quality is not a valid argument. So far, neither of the articles under question can't be classifies as "article of high quality". The question is if there is enough reliable and verified information to keep separate articles? At the moment the answer is 'no'. Probably there is potential to have separate decent articles in the future, but it could be done later when there is enough verified and sourced information about the reservoir as a separate body not related to the dam. Also, in general existence of iw links is not an argument for arranging the English wiki, although there may be cases when this should be considered. Beagel (talk) 06:14, 24 August 2011 (UTC)
- Support Separate articles should only apply when both are substantial in size and coverage along with being notable apart.--NortyNort (Holla) 10:27, 24 August 2011 (UTC)
