Notes

edit
  • The United States are partly in Oceania because of Hawaii, in addition to its insular areas. France and the United Kingdom are in Oceania only if their overseas territories are considered part of them. These territories are separate members in some of the organizations.
  • While New Caledonia itself isn't a member of the Melanesian Spearhead Group, the New Caledonian political party FLNKS is.
  • It's unclear if Indonesia should be included or not, due to the different understanding of continental borders between Asia and Oceania.

Note for editors

edit

This is a template which contains an Image map. This means that if you edit this section then it will appear in all the articles with this template. The good news is that good changes will be seen a large number of times. The bad news is that you can wreck other articles. Do go and look at other articles to check your change has not caused grief—if in doubt then discuss your proposed changes first on the talk pages.
