If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Copyright problem: Battle of San Roque (1899)
editHello TableSalt43! We welcome and appreciate your contributions, such as Battle of San Roque (1899), but we regretfully cannot accept copyrighted material from other websites or printed works. This article appears to contain work copied from https://lutongcavite.blogspot.com/2018/08/battle-of-san-roque-cavite-province.html, and therefore to constitute a violation of Wikipedia's copyright policies. The copyrighted text has been or will soon be deleted. While we appreciate your contributions, copying content from other websites is unlawful and against Wikipedia's copyright policy. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously, and persistent violators are likely to lose their editing privileges.
If you believe that the article is not a copyright violation, or if you have permission from the copyright holder to release the content freely under license allowed by Wikipedia, then you should do one of the following:
- Have the author release the text under the Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike 3.0 License (CC BY-SA 3.0) by leaving a message explaining the details at Talk:Battle of San Roque (1899) and send an email with confirmation of permission to "permissions-en wikimedia.org". Make sure they quote the exact page name, Battle of San Roque (1899), in their email. See Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission for instructions.
- If you hold the copyright to the work: send an e-mail from an address associated with the original publication to permissions-en wikimedia.org or a postal message to the Wikimedia Foundation permitting re-use under the Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike 3.0 License and GNU Free Documentation License, and note that you have done so on Talk:Battle of San Roque (1899). See Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials for instructions.
- If a note on the original website states that re-use is permitted "under the Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike License (CC BY-SA), version 3.0", or that the work is released into the public domain, or if you have strong reason to believe it is, leave a note at Talk:Battle of San Roque (1899) with a link to where we can find that note or your explanation of why you believe the content is free for reuse.
It may also be necessary for the text to be modified to have an encyclopedic tone and to follow Wikipedia article layout. For more information on Wikipedia's policies, see Wikipedia's policies and guidelines.
See Wikipedia:Declaration of consent for all enquiries for a template of the permissions letter the copyright holder is expected to send.
Otherwise, you may rewrite this article from scratch. If you would like to begin working on a new version of the article you may do so at this temporary page. Leave a note at Talk:Battle of San Roque (1899) saying you have done so and an administrator will move the new article into place once the issue is resolved.

Hi TableSalt43. You've used the short form references "Meade 2016" and "Womack 1968" in these articles, but have not added the required full cite to describe the works they refer to. You need to add the full cites to the articles, or you can let me know what works these are and I'll can do it for you. -- LCU ActivelyDisinterested ∆transmissions∆ °co-ords° 09:46, 13 February 2023 (UTC)
Copying within Wikipedia requires attribution
edit Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. It appears that you copied or moved text from Emiliano Zapata into Battle of Parque (1912). While you are welcome to re-use Wikipedia's content, here or elsewhere, Wikipedia's licensing does require that you provide attribution to the original contributor(s). When copying within Wikipedia, this is supplied at minimum in an edit summary at the page into which you've copied content, disclosing the copying and linking to the copied page, e.g., copied content from [[page name]]; see that page's history for attribution
. It is good practice, especially if copying is extensive, to also place a properly formatted {{copied}} template on the talk pages of the source and destination. Please provide attribution for this duplication if it has not already been supplied by another editor, and if you have copied material between pages before, even if it was a long time ago, you should provide attribution for that also. You can read more about the procedure and the reasons at Wikipedia:Copying within Wikipedia. Thank you. — Diannaa (talk) 13:54, 14 February 2023 (UTC)

Battle of Zaragoza (1913) moved to draftspace
editAn article you recently created, Battle of Zaragoza (1913), is not suitable as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:
" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. Wikipedia and copyright
editHello TableSalt43! Your additions to Draft:New York Armory Raid (1775) have been removed in whole or in part, as they appear to have added copyrighted content without evidence that the source material is in the public domain or has been released by its owner or legal agent under a suitably free and compatible copyright license. (To request such a release, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission.) While we appreciate your contributions to Wikipedia, there are certain things you must keep in mind about using information from sources to avoid copyright and plagiarism issues.
- You can only copy/translate a small amount of a source, and you must mark what you take as a direct quotation with double quotation marks (") and cite the source using an inline citation. You can read about this at Wikipedia:Non-free content in the sections on "text". See also Help:Referencing for beginners, for how to cite sources here.
- Aside from limited quotation, you must put all information in your own words and structure, in proper paraphrase. Following the source's words too closely can create copyright problems, so it is not permitted here; see Wikipedia:Close paraphrasing. Even when using your own words, you are still, however, asked to cite your sources to verify the information and to demonstrate that the content is not original research.
- We have strict guidelines on the usage of copyrighted images. Fair use images must meet all ten of the non-free content criteria in order to be used in articles, or they will be deleted. To be used on Wikipedia, all other images must be made available under a free and open copyright license that allows commercial and derivative reuse.
- If you own the copyright to the source you want to copy or are a legally designated agent, you may be able to license that text so that we can publish it here. Understand, though, that unlike many other sites, where a person can license their content for use there and retain non-free ownership, that is not possible at Wikipedia. Rather, the release of content must be irrevocable, to the world, into either the public domain (PD) or under a suitably free and compatible copyright license. Please see Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials.
- Also note that Wikipedia articles may not be copied or translated without attribution. If you want to copy or translate from another Wikipedia project or article, you must follow the copyright attribution steps described at Wikipedia:Copying within Wikipedia. See also Help:Translation#License requirements.
It's very important that contributors understand and follow these practices, as policy requires that people who persistently do not must be blocked from editing. If you have any questions about this, please ask them here on this page, or leave a message on my talk page. Thank you. —Compassionate727 (T·C) 18:05, 21 January 2024 (UTC)
Speedy deletion nomination of Draft:New York Armory Raid (1775)
editIf this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
A tag has been placed on Draft:New York Armory Raid (1775) requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to be an unambiguous copyright infringement. This page appears to be a direct copy from https://docshare.tips/boston-campaign_58afa661b6d87f6aae8b5e3b.html and https://www.varsitytutors.com/earlyamerica/early-america-review/volume-7/new-york-city-during-the-revolution. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images taken from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. You may use external websites or other printed material as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.
If the external website or image belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text or image — which means allowing other people to use it for any reason — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. The same holds if you are not the owner but have their permission. If you are not the owner and do not have permission, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission for how you may obtain it. You might want to look at Wikipedia's copyright policy for more details, or ask a question here.
—Compassionate727 (T·C) 18:20, 21 January 2024 (UTC)
Copying
edit Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. It appears that you copied or moved text from Alba Longa into Battle of Alba Longa.
Thank you. Nobody (talk) 09:45, 11 March 2024 (UTC)
Short citation style on Acron (King of the Caeninenses)
editHi TableSalt43, you have recently moved Acron (King of the Caeninenses) to the mainspace and you've used inline citations that follow short form and a bibliography, but the reference style is unclear. Would you mind clarifying the citation style used in regards to last name, year, and page(s) in the short section? Consider using the {{sfn}} template. Thanks, microbiologyMarcus [petri dish·growths] 16:32, 13 March 2024 (UTC)
- Hello, the citations are all in the Bibliography, and then you can see what is abbreviated. ex. Dion. Hal = Dionysius of Halicarnassus. As for the pages, they are broken down into book numbers (of series), pages, and then sub section.
- Have a great day! TableSalt43 (talk) 16:44, 13 March 2024 (UTC)
Disambiguation link notification for March 13
editHi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Battle of Rome (753 BC), you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Caenina. Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)
It's OK to remove this message. Also, to stop receiving these messages, follow these opt-out instructions. Thanks, --DPL bot (talk) 18:05, 13 March 2024 (UTC)

AfC cleanup following pagemoves
editHi, I notice you are moving a large number of pages from the Draft space with their AfC templates to the mainspace. The draft space is suitable for drafting articles but your creation process is adding WP:AfC templates to your pages, and these are being left in the mainspace following your page move. Recently, this has occurred on Acron (King of the Caeninenses) and now Second Battle of Rome (753 BC), Battle of Caenina, Battle of Nomentum, and Battle of Rome (753 BC). Can you ensure that you cleanup your drafts before moving them to mainspace, as I have done here: Special:Diff/1213560404.
Alternatively, you could also consider starting your drafts in your sandbox as subpages which will not create the templates.
Thanks, microbiologyMarcus [petri dish·growths] 19:48, 13 March 2024 (UTC)
- Also, your pages don't have WP:Categories or WP:Short descriptions. These are typically added when the page goes through the AfC process, which you have bypassed. It's okay to bypass, just ensure you are doing proper cleanup on all the articles you create. microbiologyMarcus [petri dish·growths] 19:51, 13 March 2024 (UTC)
Wikipedia and copyright
editHello TableSalt43! Your additions to Battle of Caenina have been removed in whole or in part, as they appear to have added copyrighted content without evidence that the source material is in the public domain or has been released by its owner or legal agent under a suitably free and compatible copyright license. (To request such a release, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission.) While we appreciate your contributions to Wikipedia, there are certain things you must keep in mind about using information from sources to avoid copyright and plagiarism issues.
- You can only copy/translate a small amount of a source. You must mark what you take as a direct quotation with double quotation marks (") and cite the source using an inline citation. Read about this at Wikipedia:Non-free content in the sections on "text".
Even when using your own words, you are still asked to cite your sources to verify the information and to demonstrate that the content is not original research.
- We have strict guidelines on the usage of copyrighted images. Fair use images must meet all ten of the non-free content criteria to be used in articles, or they will be deleted.
It's very important that contributors understand and follow these practices. Our policy requires that people who persistently do not must be blocked from editing. If you have any questions about this, please ask them here on this page, or leave a message on my talk page. If you have similarly used other copyrighted material on your other newly-created articles, can you revisit those now and remove any such violations? They will also need to be flagged for revision deletion, to remove them from the page histories. It would be helpful if you could list any affected articles here. Thank you. BastunĖġáḍ
Actually, you're not a new user, and have already received at least four warnings for copyright violations. That being the case: There is currently a discussion at Wikipedia:Administrators' noticeboard/Incidents regarding an issue with which you may have been involved. Thank you. BastunĖġáḍ
