Preliminary

The preliminary HSC Physics course consists of four core modules that make up 120 indicative hours in total.


The modules studied are:

  • The World Communicates (30 indicative hours);
  • Electrical Energy in the Home (30 indicative hours);
  • Moving About (30 indicative hours);
  • The Cosmic Engine (30 indicative hours).

All four core modules must be completed in order to complete the preliminary physics course. The preliminary physics course is a prerequisite to the HSC physics course.

The HSC Physics course consists of three core modules that make up 90 indicative hours in total, and ONE option chosen by the student that makes up 30 indicative hours.
