Retired??
Obviously the above is not true. But then, you've pulled this trick before, haven't you? FWIW, it's OK to edit as an IP if you're a registered user, but WP:SOCK says that "Contributing to the same page or discussion with multiple accounts" is not. BartlebytheScrivener (talk) 19:30, 7 May 2014 (UTC)
- None of the above implications are well aimed; that the claim of retirement is a 'trick' insinuates something improper. Likewise, if you believe my intent or effect is socking you're welcome to open an SPI report, and I'll happily respond more fully there. The Wilder business can be discussed without the above broadside. Please don't respond here, it won't stick. JNW (talk) 19:51, 7 May 2014 (UTC)
- The "retired" template is not a legally binding document which prohibits the user from editing while it's present. To make an accusation of dishonesty and trickery is absurd. Someone who goes around quoting policies should know how wrong it is to quote a shorthand heading as gospel without including the correct context. The paragraph with the quoted heading says: "Editors may not use more than one account to contribute to the same page or discussion in a way to suggest that they are multiple people." Any reasonable person can clearly see that there was no intent to suggest any such thing. The accuser's revert was ridiculous, restoring the page to a state in which another IP had made an unconstructive edit, deleting without explanation. The accuser's ludicrous revert removed sourced content, leaving a ref attached to nothing but an isolated comma. To leave an accusatory note here, especially after JNW supplied the requested source for the name, is just shameful, outrageous and preposterous. MANdARAX • XAЯAbИAM 21:26, 7 May 2014 (UTC)
- Cheers, Mandarax. I think what he meant to say was "thank you for providing a source and restoring the referenced content I deleted", but it came out a bit sideways. JNW (talk) 13:58, 8 May 2014 (UTC)
Hey, please be back. Yngvadottir (talk) 17:52, 8 May 2014 (UTC)

Thank you, "truly one of Wikipedia's brightest stars" (MBE), for quality articles on artists and their creations, such as Jean-François Millet, Study of a Kneeling Nude Girl for The Entombment and the The Raft of the Medusa, for fighting vandalism with expressive edit summaries until tired, for "It's been fun writing", - you are an awesome Wikipedian!
