Betina Jozami (born September 8, 1988 in Paraná) is a professional tennis player from Argentina. The Argentine hasn't won a Women's Tennis Association tennis title, but has won five singles titles and eleven doubles titles on the International Tennis Federation. Born to Beto and Andrea Jozami, the Argentine has two siblings. Jozami won the 2007 Pan American Games doubles gold medal with Jorgelina Cravero, and also earned the bronze medal in singles.

Career

In 2003, Jozami played her first ITF tennis event in July, where she reached the finals.

2004 saw Jozami reach the finals of two ITF doubles tournaments, reaching the final in the first event of the year before winning a doubles final in Asunción.

In 2006, Jozami won the first ITF doubles tournament that she entered. She won the Monterrey singles and doubles events, along with winning the Jalapa doubles event in Mexico. In addition, she won the Leon, Mexico singles title with a victory over Agustina Lepore in the final. Then, after losing in the Valencia [disambiguation needed] doubles semifinals, she won four straight doubles titles in Caracas, Tampico, Guadalajara, and Ciudad Juárez, winning the singles titles in Tampico, Guadalajara and Ciudad Juárez, and lost her 17-match doubles winning streak in the quarterfinals of the San Luis Potosi event. She won the singles title in the finals Tampico singles title along with a 6–3, 6–0 victory over Daniela Munoz Gallegos, and won the singles title of Ciudad Juárez over Estafania Craciun, the same person she defeated to win the Guadalajara title, 6–1, 0–6, 6–2.

In singles in 2007, Jozami qualified to reach various ITF singles semifinals. Jozami would go on to lose a close three-set battle to Alina Jidkova in Wimbledon's qualifying draw, falling 6–3, 6–7 (6), 14-12 in the first round. She lost in the first round of the 2007 U.S. Open qualifying to Anastasia Pavlyuchenkova, 6–2, 6–2.

In doubles, Jozami made the semifinals of the first three ITF tournaments that she played in in 2007, reaching two further semifinals in Charlottesville, Virginia and Indian Harbour Beach, Florida in the United States before reaching the Palm Beach Gardens, Florida finals with Estafania Craciun. She won a title in Madrid with compatriot Jorgelina Cravero, and won her second ITF title of the year, again with Cravero, in Washington, D.C. in the United States in August. She reached the finals in San Francisco, California, and in San Luis Potosi in Mexico, before finishing her year with an appearance in a 2007 WTA Tour event. Jozami teamed with Maria Fernanda Alves in the Quebec City doubles event, where they beat top seeds Meilen Tu and Vera Zvonareva in the quarterfinals before falling to Christina Fusano and Raquel Kops-Jones in the semifinals, a good end to Jozami's 2007 tennis season.

Jozami won the Waikoloa Village, Hawaii doubles title in the United States in 2008, teaming with Maria Fernanda Alves to win the final over Angela Haynes and Mashona Washington.

At the 2008 Copa Colsanitas, she defeated top seed Flavia Pennetta 6–1, 2–6, 6–4, before reaching the quarterfinals after a walkover win over Mariya Koryttseva. In the quarterfinals, she defeated ninth seed Martina Müller 6–3, 6–1, to set up a semifinal clash with Nuria Llagostera Vives.
