It has been proposed that Western Alamance High School and Western Alamance Middle School in Elon, NC change their names to Barack Obama High School and Barack Obama Middle School to honor the current president. An official with the Alamance-Burlington School Board has said that she does not anticipate the board discussing the idea.[7]
