Regan Lamble (born 14 October 1991) is an Australian athlete. She was selected to represent Australia in the 2012 Summer Olympics in the 20km Road Walk race.

Lamble was born on 14 October 1991 in Melbourne, Victoria [1][2][3] suburb of Box Hill.[3] She grew up in the Melbourne suburb of Blackburn.[4][5] She attended Laburnum Primary School and then went to high school at Strathcona Girls Grammar.[1] She moved to Canberra in 2009 after she finished high school.[1][4] She started a Bachelor of Graphic Design degree at the University of Canberra in 2011.[1][2] She has also studied art history at the Australian National University.[1][2][3] She was the Eurosport commentator for the men's 50km walk at the 2011 IAAF World Championships.[2] As of 2012, she lives in Canberra, Australian Capital Territory[1][2] with her cat.[2]

Lamble is 174 centimetres (69 in) tall and weighs 55 kilograms (121 lb).[1][2]

Athletics

Lamble competes in the 20km Road Walk event, the 10km Road Walk event and the 10,000 metre Walk event.[1][2]

Lamble competes in club competitions for the Melbourne based Nunawading Athletics Club.[1][2] She has an athletics scholarship with the Australian Institute of Sport,[1][2][3][4] earning a scholarship in 2009.[1][4] While training at the Australian Institute of Sport, her training partners are Jared Tallent and Nathan Deakes.[1] She is coached by Brent Vallance.[1][2] She has also been coached by Simon Baker, and Dave Blackwood.[2]

At the 2008 Australian National Championships in the under-20 age group, she finished fourth in the 10,000m walk event.[2] She finished second at the 2010 Australian National Championships in the 20km Road Walk event, only being beaten by Claire Tallent.[1] The race was her second one in the open age group event.[1][2] In the under-20 age group, she finished first in the 10,000m walk race and in the 10km Road Walk event.[2] At the 2012 Australian National Championships, she finished second in the 20km Road Walk event.[2] She competed at the under-20 IAAF World Race Walking Cup in 2010 in Mexico in the 10km event where she finished fifteenth.[4] A few months later, at the 2010 World Junior Athletics Championships in Moncton, Canada, she finished eighth in the 20km Road Walk event.[1][3][4] At the 2011 World Championships in Daegu, Korea, she finished 15th in the 20km Road Walk event with a time of 1:33.38[1][2][5] in her Australian national team debut race.[2] In April 2011, she competed in the Taicang, China hosted IAAF Race Walking Challenge Meet, where she sent an Olympic A Qualifying time in the 20km Road Walk event.[1] At the 2012 Oceania & Australian Racewalking Championships in Hobart, Australia, she finished second in the 20km Road Walk event.[1] At the 2012 IAAF World Race Walking Cup in Saransk, Russia, she finished 24th in the 20km Road Walk event.[1]

Lamble will represent Australia at the 2012 Summer Olympics in the 20km Road Walk event.[1][2][6][7]
