Hugh Innes (August 12, 1729 – March 22, 1797) was a American patriot, planter and politician who represented Pittsylvania County, Virginia in the House of Burgesses and first Virginia Revolutionary Convention, as well as served as justice of the peace and vestryman of that county before moving westward.[1][2] Before the American Revolutionary War, he acquired land in Henry County, Virginia, and would also acquire land in Kentucky, and die in newly formed Franklin County, Virginia.
