This battle took place on 29-31 October 1612 near Surat, India, and was a victory for 4 British ships over 4 Portuguese galleons and 40 "frigates" (rowing vessels with no armament). 3 of the Portuguese galleons ran aground on the 30th or the 31st but were refloated.
