Emma Fürstenhoff
Emma Fürstenhoff, also called Emilia Fürstenhoff, née Lindegren (born in Stockholm 1802), was a Swedish artist (florist), internationally known for her manufacturings and arrangements of artificial flowers of vax, which were a novelty in contemporary Europe.
Daughter of the poet and royal secretary Carl Lindegren and the noble Sofia Silfverskiöld and married to clerk Fürstenhoff, with whom she had a son; both she and her mother was the subject of her fathers poems. She was an early success in art exhibitions in Stockholm.
Her work was displayed in art exhibitions in Paris, London and Saint Petersburg. She moved to Paris, where she founded a studio of manufacturing artificial flowers. She was a successful artist, who made a fortune on her work: by 1864, she was referred to as an artist fashionable in Europe for decades.
