David S. Goyer is a comic book writer, screenwriter, and film director.

Films

Films he has written or co-written include The Crow: City of Angels, Dark City, Blade, Blade II, plus ZigZag and Blade: Trinity (both of which he also directed), Batman Begins, and the upcoming Ghost Rider. He is now working on an adaption of The Flash, which he says will be his "last comic book film, honest!" though he has been linked to an adaptation of Marvel's Thor and a Batman Begins sequel. He also directed The Invisible, a film to be released sometime in 2006.

Goyer is executive producer for the 2007 Ghost Rider film, a position he served as for many of the films he wrote and directed.

For television he wrote the Nick Fury: Agent Of SHIELD television movie as well as the upcoming Blade television series.

Comic books

Goyer wrote almost 50 issues of Justice Society of America for DC Comics.

Trivia

  • Goyer wrote Blade, wrote and produced Blade II and wrote, produced and directed Blade: Trinity.
  • While in post-production for Blade: Trinity he co-wrote the script for Batman Begins at the constant insistence of its director Christopher Nolan.
