The USDA National Nutrient Database is a database produced by the United States Department of Agriculture of the nutritional content of a great many generic and proprietary branded foodstuffs. The database may be searched online or downloaded. The current release (as of October 1, 2013) is SR 26, and new releases occur about once per year.[1]

These data are used as the source of food nutrient information by GNUtrition, a nutrition analysis software for GNU.[2]
