Henrikh Mkhitaryan is the record goalscorer for the Armenia national football team , with 16 in 51 matches since his debut in 2007. He became the top scorer in the nation's history after scoring his 12th goal in a 1–3 defeat to Italy in a World Cup qualifier on 15 October 2013. This surpassed the 11 scored for the nation by Artur Petrosyan .[1]
