"Go Wild in the Country" is a song and single performed by British new wave band Bow Wow Wow and taken from their album See Jungle! See Jungle! Go Join Your Gang, Yeah. City All Over! Go Ape Crazy. It was written by Dave Barbarossa, Leigh Gorman, Malcolm McLaren and Matthew Ashman,
It was first released in 1982 and entered the UK singles chart in January, reaching No. 7 and staying for 13 weeks on the chart.[2][3] It was the first single by the band to not be produced by Malcolm McLaren.[4]
"Go Wild in the Country" was used as the theme tune for Cavegirl, a BBC children's TV programme originally aired in 2002.
