Fermeuse (46°58′42″N 52°57′18″W / 46.97833°N 52.95500°W NST) is a town in the Canadian province of Newfoundland and Labrador. The town had a population of 284 in the Canada 2006 Census.
Fermeuse is the hometown of former NHL player Ryane Clowe who played with the New Jersey Devils , New York Rangers and San Jose Sharks. It is also the hometown of Master Corporal Brent Kenny, a Canadian Armed Forces Member who when a Corporal took the famous first ever same sex kiss of a service member in uniform of any military force in the world. The photo is ranked #1 in the CBC international news article "Times a kiss has captured national interest" beating out the famous WW2 VJ Day Kiss (#3), president Obama's kiss with his wife when he became president (#8), and Prince William and Kates famous wedding kiss (#10).
