Is cargon(s) a typo or a real word?

The Wikipedia:Typo Team/moss spell checker has found a possible typo that a copyeditor needs help to resolve. If cargon(s) is misspelled, it can just be corrected in this article. If cargon(s) is a legitimate word, it should be added to the English Wiktionary (which defines words in all languages) with a definition at wikt:cargon(s). Feel free to leave a note in this section if you do one of those things, or if you can provide any hints about this word. Thanks! -- Elfabet (talk) 16:52, 15 October 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Yes a Cargon is a ULD designed especially to fit inside the Convair aircraft. CHCBOY (talk) 22:31, 15 October 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks, @CHCBOY:. The problem I'm having is finding a reliable source that defines it. If you could supply one, that'd be fantastic - or even better, add its definition to wikt:cargon(s). (I'm even having trouble parsing 'ULD' in context; please forgive my lack of subject knowledge.) --Cheers! Elfabet (talk) 12:26, 16 October 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Me too can't find anything on the cargon, the ULD stands for Unit loading device. CHCBOY (talk) 23:07, 16 October 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Some more digging brings up Straits_Air_Freight_Express which appears to give what we want and a source for it. Huzzah! Now I need a confirmation and to see wiktionary's stance on adding invented names from other languages... Elfabet (talk) 13:03, 17 October 2018 (UTC)[reply]
Wikipedia is not a reliable source and the entry is unreferenced so you really need to find a reliable source that it is noteworthy (or the fact that is exists) outside of the airline. MilborneOne (talk) 20:17, 17 October 2018 (UTC)[reply]
Absolutely agreed, MilborneOne, I saw the citation on the next sentence and probably got ahead of myself. As the source nearby is a book, I can't see it online, perhaps my next step will be to take it to that source check request list I've seen once in a while. (Anyone have that link handy?)
For those following, here is the link to the Wikt inclusion discussion, as of today. --Cheers! Elfabet (talk) 21:09, 17 October 2018 (UTC)[reply]

(time edit: Wikt. has found multiple sources referencing the word across the last century. We're good!) Elfabet (talk) 21:14, 17 October 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Good work, I have still fact tagged the info in the Air Straights article as it is still unreferenced. MilborneOne (talk) 21:39, 17 October 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Wikipedia:Typo Team/moss, Elfabet, CHCBOY, MilborneOne Found a reference to "Cargon" in a 1983 book "Cook's Wild Strait" that I own. "With the help of Railways engineers, he produced the "cargon", a wheeled metal pallet which reduced handling costs and was a world first in the loading of palletised cargo". I'll add this and some details to the "Safe air" article. Andrewgprout (talk) 01:46, 20 October 2018 (UTC)[reply]
