In 2003, "Wikipedia.org/stats/en.wikipedia.org" posted monthly data on viewing statistics. The March 2003 report (preserved at archive.org [1]) includes the Top 30 most requested URLs. (The list was increased to 100 in October 2003). In March 2003, the report states that Wikipedia had 250,011 total URLs (which included non-article pages)
After removing non-article pages (but keeping the Main Page), the below list was created (in November 2016).
