Adamantane (Tricyclo[3.3.1.13,7]decane) is an colourless, cristalline powder, it smells like camphor. It is an Cycloalkane and also the easiest Diamantoide, the formula is C10H16. You can find adamantane in petroleum and some mountaincrystals.

It melts at 270 °C and sublimates before boiling. It is unsoluble in water, the density is 1,07 g/cm³.Adamantane is very stable. It is used in polymers to give them special properties. It is also iused in pharmacy.
