Demetris Th. Gotsis (Greek: Δημήτρης
Background
[edit]He specialized in Germany, where he worked for several years. His first collection of Poetry was published when he was already 44. Since 1986, he has been living in Paphos, Cyprus. Lyrics of Gotsis were compiled in French, English, German, Spanish and Finnish Anthologies. Also, poems of Gotsis originally written in German, have been published in anthologies in Munich and in Kiel. He was awarded the second prize for Poetry of the Republic of Cyprus in 1995 and the first prize at the International Competition for Poetry of "Griechisch Kunst - und Literatur-Verein" in Munich, Germany in 2002. He is a founding member of the Paphos' Society of Littérateurs, a member of the Cyprus' Union of Littérateurs, member of PEN Club-Cyprus and of the Association Internationale des Critiques Litéraires.
